Yup, break out the woolies. I’m more worried about the ice. If we lose power I’ll never hear the end of it ;) The Big Mew’s been jonesing for a generator, while I’ve been thinking we should get a snowblower. Of course neither of us have done anything about getting one or the other, and I’ll bet you can’t find either at the moment.

Yeah, well, ya’ll come on down! You’d be much better company than the snowbirds, who are in enmasse (and mostly vote for Obama or Hillary—and maybe in both places).

Couple of inches of snow already on the ground. Horses are in the barn, dogs and cats in their houses. Fire going. Probably make a big pot of Beef Vegetable soup and some homemade bread in a bit. Let it snow...
Hardest choice...Earl Grey or Bud Light?

I miss the seasons occasionally, but really, I just forget there ARE seasons until I look at the TV and wonder why all those people are wearing coats and mufflers and stuff.

It looks like I'll be shoveling about a foot-and-a-half of "Global Warming" off of my driveway tomorrow.

People here in Indiana are buying up egss, milk, and bread at the stores.
Apparently we all make french toast when the weather turns bad.

When in need, go for the Scott’s. There’s usually plenty left :)

We are expecting a major cold front coming through Sunday. Will have to dust cobwebs off the Franklin stove. Lows to 44º. Don’t you just love the NOAA cold weather statements for Florida when they tell us to wear sweaters?

I am in Indianapolis and I tell you it is not going to happen. My guess is 5-6 max with the evening sleet and rain taking away much of the moisture needed for that 17 in number

“The Big Mew’s been jonesing for a generator”

We had a major ice storm a few years back and I picked up a generator because the power wasn’t restored for over a week.

Just big enough to run the furnace, a few lights and a T.V.

5 gallons of gas every 19 hours. Of course with todays prices, 5 gallons every 19 hours for a week would get pretty expensive.

“and I’ll bet you can’t find either at the moment.’

Got mine a Lowes during the height of the storm. They are probably still available right now, but don’t wait until the powers out.

We had our Chrismas play last night and the kids had to dress wintry. It’s funny to see S. FL kids dress wintry. They were hot! But they looked cute as the dickens.

My aunt, who lives in Florida said something similar to me the other night, when I mentioned something about splitting wood for a fire :)

You ain't kidding. I'm half-expecting the Big Mew to come home with one or the other :)

“It’s a big, pastel mess across the United States of America. Where’s global warming when you really need it?”

I’d like to know that myself. It’s 9:50 on a sunny morning here in Northern Colorado and it’s already warmed up to a blistering 12 degrees. It was 5 when I got up to let the dogs out.

Lows to 44º

That will be about our high for today, though it is supposed to warm up into the 50s, after midnight when it's raining.

Staying warm in SW Ohio. Watching the rain come down now, washing away all of this beautiful white from this morning.

Here in Richmond,VA they are calling for rain with a high and low of 38F today. Kind of dreary but the shovel stays in the garage. Three years ago I bought a snow blower. It’s never blown the first flake of snow. All you folks in the mid-atlantic region...You’re welcome.
