I turn the big 4-0 in 14 months. But hey, 40 is the new 20, so drink like it!!! have fun!
Enjoy your youth.
[From a Freeper who just turned 50, whose wife is about to turn 50, after 20 wonderful years of marriage. Anyone younger than us is by definition young.]
Think of it this way ... for 18 minutes you'll have the chance to ravage an "older" woman! That can be fun!
My wife actually weighs less than she did in college, and that’s after three kids!
I tell her she looks like she’s twenty something. She does have a little touch of gray around the temples, but I figure that’s just from living with me. I prefer that she not color her hair, not use much (if any) make up, and forget about her weight. She’s 5’and 95 lbs, still looks great to me...
Congrats, to both of you! Praise God, for a stable marriage, healthy family and and happiness overall. Now, you will start cringing as you remember every cool thing that happened 20 years ago seemed like yesterday.
There are doctors who take care of that....
Sage advice. Thanks.
When I turned 40 some 30 years ago my wife had a small party and I was presented with a toilet with black lillies planted in it.
You’re over the hill, it’s all downhill now.
True enough, but they would have to pay me! I still remeber the shots of novacane in a particularly delicate part of my anatomy - made my toes curl backwards and touch bottoms of my feet! Then the scent of smoke eminating from a place where no smoke should ever be eminating from!!! No thanks -I’ll pass.
Not a joke really. Just wondering if you were born before the candles burned out.
(sorry for the build up and let down)
“Any freeper advice as we crest the big hill tomorrow?”
Cyanide...
Grandma...you are showing your age...
Our "baby girl" will be 30 next year. ;)
I'm 47.
The other day I stumbled across and was listening to mp3s of Singers Unlimited.
Came *this close* to saving them to the iPod, but sanity prevailed at the last minute.
Thanks. Looks like a lot of good stuff happened December 16th 1967.

40? If you book a hotel room for a romantic interlude, don’t get the room with the mirrors.
Happy birthday to you both. Let me know how it goes. I turn the big 4-0 next September.
As far as advice, I haven't got any real great words of wisdom. Have some champagne, do something really goofy (like go cosmic bowling or play mini golf). Dance in the grocery store and REALLY embarrass your kids or something.
As far as the age thing goes, I always keep the words of Gene Simmons in mind: "Any day above ground is a good day."
And don't forget cake.
Congratulations to you both! Perhaps you might do something you both used to do when you were younger, but don’t do (or don’t do very often) anymore??? Something to remind you of the past, but yet mark a “new” beginning... Don’t look at it as “cresting the hill”... You know they say that 40 is the new “20”. ;)
I don’t even qualify age wise for posting on this thread, you doddering old man.
