How do colleges move up a level in sports? Appalachian State truly should move up to the highest level in college football IMHO.

That'd likely make a mess of any other sports programs they have. As an example, the University of Dayton has a fair tradition of Div I basketball. Because of that and NCAA rule changes, their Div. III football team had to move up to Div I, where it doesn't have athletic scholarships.

I think it would be great if college football worked like the English Premiership in soccer.

If you suck, you get relegated to a lower division the next season, and the best teams from the lower levels get promoted up a level each year.

I hope not. Why should you move up with a goal to play in the Muffler Bowl (in Charlotte)? At App States level they can play to be the best. They went through the playoffs and won it all.
