The human waste used in the exhibit was gathered from the Indian cities of Delhi and Jaipur by volunteers working for Sulabh International, a human rights organization devoted to helping improve the lives of scavengers.

This fails my "museum janitor" test of modern art. If someone stole the sign labeling this as art, how would the museum janitor respond to it when he saw it? If his response would be to toss it in the trash because someone obviously made a mess there, then it is not art.
