I think that before Mitt Romney is nominated, everyone who might support him should be prepared for the avalanche of FACTUAL, ACCURATE information about LDS theology which will flood the nation, wall-to-wall and coast-to-coast, for the twelve weeks between the convention and the election.

The MSM is going to go all-Mormon, all the time.

Saying that the LDS church teaches that Satan is the brother of Jesus (for example) is not an anti-Mormon attack. It's the truth.

Most Americans either like, or ignore, Mormons.

Most Americans also don't know too much about Mormonism, and that, if Romney is the nominee, is going to change.

As I have told some Mormon friends, the Romney campaign may be the greatest PR disaster that their church has ever faced. Even in the best light, some Mormon beliefs seem odd but given the animosity of a campaign and the hostility of most of the press to religion and Republicans, Mormonism will be portrayed as completely loony.

A prime example of the use of a completely false and inflamatory argument, meant do start a fight not a discussion.

The LDS Church teaches no such thing, regardless what anyone says to the contrary. Below is the official word, from LDS.org

SALT LAKE CITY 12 December 2007 Like other Christians, we believe Jesus is the divine Son of God. Satan is a fallen angel.

As the Apostle Paul wrote, God is the Father of all. That means that all beings were created by God and are His spirit children. Christ, however, was the only begotten in the flesh, and we worship Him as the Son of God and the Savior of mankind.

I hate to tell you, but I think this is only an issue for Evangalical Baptist Churches, all of whom happen to be Republican, I don’t think the Democrats will be able to make an issue out of it being that they are always preaching tolerance. They can’t go shooting themselves in the foot now can they?

“Most Americans also don’t know too much about Mormonism, and that, if Romney is the nominee, is going to change.”

Ain’t that the truth, and there is a dumptruck full of unsightly history and doctrine to flood America with. Wait till Blood Atonement gets its full expose, for one small example.

“Mitt, do you think Brigham Young was justified in killing apostates and Gentiles who strayed from Mormonism?”

“Mitt, do you think it was justified for your great-great grandfather, the polygamist, to be stabbed in the back with a Bowie knife for wife and children stealing?”

You can call these ‘vicious’ questions, but they will still be asked, over and over again.

Hey if it's anything like the people who turned to Islam after 911 the Mormons should get some converts from all this public scrutiny of their religion.
