Anti-Mormons Attacks Must Stop, FR is Better Than That (Vanity)

It really pains me to see some of those vicious anti-Mormons attacks we see on Free Republic disguised under the “freedom of speech. Attacking people based on their Mormon faith is really disgusting and it is an insult to this great forum. People who do not like Governor Mitt Romney based on his positions are free to express their opinion as such, but people who attack him because he is a Mormom should be ashamed of themselves and must not be allowed to do so.

I greatly hope that Free Republic members and moderators will get together and help in stopping this anti-Mormon vitriol, this great Free Republic must not be tainted by these shameless acts.

Does Mr. Romney consider me corrupt, especially when he doesn’t even know me? Think of what you are saying/thinking. I think Mr. Romney has complete faith in Americans, and he has even stated such.

If I have to vote for him, I will. But, he is not my choice.

If it bothers your conscience, then don't vote for him. If you are actually in Kansas, your vote won't matter. If Romney loses Kansas, it is safe to assume that he is being overwhelmed in a massive landslide.

Just vote on the other elections and leave the Presidential line blank.

Reason enough. The fact that he is a very recent convert to conservative issues reeks and if nominated he will sash shay back leftwards.

There is a stench surrounding a few of our Republican candidates. In the end, he who stinks less will probably win the nomination.

We founded this nation so that people could be free to establish and believe in their own religion without persecution.

We have no religious test for public office.

The playbook reads differently than you have stated. It is the Romney camp which tosses the term bigot so easily and seeks to squelch the airing of Momronism peculiarities ... I think, done to prevent opposition to his beliefs by squelching the open ariing of same so that conservative Christians will not prevent him from winning the Republican nomination. But what then? How will the Mitt machine counter the liberal sycophancy for the DNC in media? You perhaps fail to realize that the exposure will come from so many directions and with such precision as to prevent apologetics from Mormons hoping to defend their beliefs. Mitt will be painted as a member of an extremely anti-Chrisitan cult and he will not have the needed votes to win in a close election against the DNC/media darling. FR is a conservative forum allowing the free and continuous posting of Mormonism apologetics to rebutt exposure of the strangeness in mormonism. And the verdict is still out as to whether freepers will tolerate a strange religious bishop for the republican nominee! The complicit liberal media is no so favorable an environment. What then with Mitt and his Mormonism?

“We have no religious test for public office.” Whom is the ‘we’ ... I have such a test in my factoring. And the American Way allows me the freedom to apply my own test when I pull the voting lever. You won’t squelch that in American voters no matter how much you spittle out the term bigot.
