Government doesn’t need to protect us. That kind of thinking is Nanny-state group think. Government needs to stay out of our business.

Any time I see “Move the country forward” I picture “progressive”.

Not a good image for a conservative to project.

Since when does a letter to the editor in a Nashua newspaper rate posting as a news item?

Huckleberry Hound is going to flame out as early as next week when all the homosexuals start ‘flaming’ him for daring to suggest in ‘92 that AIDS victims should be quarantined to protect society, you know: like what Fidel Castro did.

Now there is a real conundrum, ya hear what I’m saying here?

“He strongly believes that the government is here to protect us, not to provide for us.”

By how much did spending increase under Huckabee’s tenure? As in, by what percentage?

And by how many employees did the Arkansas state government grow under his tenure? And how did this compare to Bill Clinton?

Mike “Open Borders for Jesus” Huckabee is no Ronald Reagan. I worked for President Reagan, and Huckleberry Hound isn’t fit to shine his shoes. He may have buffaloed the sheeple in certain parts of Iowa (my home state, btw) but he isn’t b.s.ing real conservatives. Unfortunately for him, we can read.

Let’s see. Huchabee will tax the hell out of us, educate all illegal aliens for free in order to level the playing field, (only Christian thing to do), make us all go on diets to lose weight, force us to be as compassionate as he, and endure a flood of more illegal imagration, Give away the entire store, AND make us all quit smoking!!! About the only thing positive is that he hasn’t proposed dress codes for the entire nation. Guess that’s next.

"He believes that our rights were not given to us by the government, but rather they are a gift from God. He strongly believes that the government is here to protect us, not to provide for us."

To quote Thomas Paine: "Some writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher." Common Sense (1776)
