Looks like he didn’t get the Paris Hilton lockup rules.

It would be interesting to compare his actual time served with others convicted of the same offense. I would bet he is serving more time.

Might as well serve the time before the writers’ strike is settled.

1. The following takes place between 12:00 am and 12:00 am. (I’m in jail).
2. Set up a perimeter.
3. I want real time updates.
4. I will ask you one last time: WHERE IS THE FABRIC SOFTENER?
5. Drive. I’ll know if you deviate.
6. Upload the schematic to my PDA.
7. Hurry, Chloe!
8. Call the President.
9. Accept my resignation.
10. DAMMIT!

My wife and I went to our local little bar in LA (Kane’s on Melrose) for an after work drink one day, and Kiefer was the only other patron at the bar. Seemed like a nice guy, but didn’t talk much.

Kiefer Sutherland was sentenced Wednesday to 48 days in jail for racking up a second drunken-driving arrest in three years and immediately reported to a city lockup.

I am glad that he is getting it out of the way. He can get back to 24 if the strike is over. He was thinking of the viewers when making this decision IMHO.

What I don't understand is why a judge apparently structured his jail sentence around his TV show. 48 days is apparently a play on the "24" show this actor stars in. Because this is his second DUI offense, the judge doubled it. If the show was called "30", would he then get 60 days in jail?

Good thing the show wasn't called "365" or he'd be looking at two years in the slammer.
