My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

This poem is beautiful. So delicately woven.

That’s too cold! Go furnace go!
The wind isn’t blowing so our freezing temp isn’t making my food refueling for my raccoons bad..They are extra hungry it seems. My kitty slipped out the door and checked them out...They just watched as I coaxed her into my arms.I feared the pushy male might go after her...He did not... but he stood his ground!
It will warm up to 70 this weekend. See saw Texas weather.

Oh good to be leery of the raccoon, they can kill cats.
Our temps are going into the 50s by the weekend. The furnace is kicked into high gear all warm.

She was lurking under the dining table and made a dash..I was relieved there was no fuss. These raccoons seem to be tamer than many..The male is a fairly newcomer and tried to intimidate me at first. Now he is more mellow.

Raccoons are worthy of serious caution! My cousin went to drop off garbage in the can and surprised a large boar (male raccoon.) It slashed him with its front teeth, cut through thick leather biker boots and tore up his shin like a straight razor. took some thirty stitches to close the gash. the sheriff shot the ‘coon and took it in to check for rabies. No rabies, but he has a very different outlook on those masked bandits, their not so cute anymore!!!!

Good night everyone.

I don’t “surprise” them ever and I sweet talk them..LOL
The male is much more trusting now..but he was a change from my females..He “charged” at me at first..but I kept on going toward the feeding spot and he became more interested in my food cup.
I never try to touch them or hand feed them..They are wild but they will allow me right next to them to replenish food..I don’t linger .
I am cautious. I may pay for the great fun they have given me someday but so far so good.
