My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

“I have called the landlord and reported the stubbornness of the old curmudgeon.”
Of course I’m stubborn, that is what being a curmudgeon is all about. I gotta tell you, I did not appreciate him banging on my door and voicing complaints of such a personal nature for the other neighbors to hear. (And of course they were ALL out in the hallway listening!) Why some of them believed the complaints, and after the landlord left I was beset by several women wanting to know if I was too tire to try my luck throwing a little heat their way!!!
Next time, just send me an e-mail and we’ll try to settle this with less physical demands being placed on me. I nearly killed myself trying to make everyone happy, and I’m too old to do that so often anymore!

Most Popular Resolutions
I couldn’t find any of the following, can you show me where they are?
-drink more beer
-drink more wine
-drink more single-malt
-cook and eat better foods
-share more PC-deficient jokes
-love yourself more
-tease kids (and some adults)
-enjoy the peace and solitude of a silent dawn
-share a beautiful sunset with a lover
-say what you really feel and think
-dare to be yourself more
-open a door for a woman, (especially if itmakes her mad)
-value friends as if they were gold
-admit a mistake each day, then stop making it!
-think of others, and let them think of you
-be happy with who you are, not what others think you should be.

Challenge of Winter
The bitter wind moans down from the hills
over a land laid in an icy Winter’s cloak
as people hide in stone block walled keeps
Bright the fires around which they cluster
Loud their laugher even as the cold seeps
happy to be alive and to share a tired joke
though each glances at the ice on the sill
Surviving Winter is become a skill of life
just to make the new Spring one more time
when the world shifts to verdant green again
Then the spirit can rise and called to muster
Throwing off the shackles of Winter’s pain
they celebrate the season in song and rhyme
and then prepare for life’s other strifes

That is beautiful! It started off funny and then got all deep and loving.
Thank yoou! I’m going to share that.
As to your question. I went looking for various resolutions and the same 3 lists came up except for Letterman, but they were all about him.
Yours is best.

Thank You LJ, beautiful!
May the New Year be kind to you
and not set you back
may your pains not be gargantuan
but little ones you can whack.
