Indeed.
“master, mistress of the house”
This is just a fancy way of saying ‘STAFF’
*Grin*
No one here but me to do it! I live alone with kids hours away.I really have only paperwork really pushing me today..and I am going to work on it in bed. Later, not today, I’ll clean up the mess I made going through stuff yesterday..I have one more load of laundry that can wait.
I am lounging in my new soft flannel nightshirt from Santa daughter and am not pushing it at all today.
My wife would say a Flannel Nightshirt is absolutely medicinal in nature. Take it easy, and do things a bit later. Just consider today a present to yourself, from you.
Oh yeah, that arrangement is going to look different in mere moments.
I LOVE this Season!!!!!!!!!!
sleigh rides, hayrides, time spent in fun
enjoying this true season until is done
Sweet mulled cider sipping and family joy
and watching kids playing with amazing toys
Lights in the night twinkling like stars
as we watch all the neighbors in their cars
Driving around to see all of the lights
yes sharing the season in sharing the sights
LOL..I am very good at that! I have given myself so many “gift days”
I had never had a flannel gown or nightshirt until my daughter started giving them to me a few years ago..Now I am a fan in winter..This one is the perfect weight and softness.
Nancy has several, and being a guy, of course I have no idea what factors make her choice of a particular one at any time special. I can say though that she loves all of them, and picking a new one takes some time as she juggles softness, color, length, weight, phase of the moon, wind direction, indoor and outdoor temps, and mood in the process!
ROFLOL! So true.
Nice, JOHNN!
It’s been awhile since I have shared Christmas with children..My youngest grandson is a sophomore in college.
I am loathe to take down the little white Christmas lights..They do sparkle.New year’s Day will probably be the day.
I had flannel sheets before gowns...at the urging of my daughter..I need to buy another pair of wool socks..I mostly use cotton ones...I have no need for so much cover..I have a lightweight comforter and a throw at my feet.My house stays the same temperature...except right by the sliding doors..
I wear socks out as I usually fail to put on shoes or slippers in the house..Last winter when I only had the desktop. in the guestroom.I wore two pairs of socks and slippers when FReeping..The computer sits right by a sliding door and that made it cold..I had a throw over my feet to boot some very windy cold days!..I must say the bed is warmer..and I can still birdwatch from here.
By the way..my pair of nuthatches are still here. Hope they spend the winter.
Good news on the Nuthatches, hope they stay around, too.
I never wear shoes in the house either, I wear mens hunting soxs for my feet. Staying warm while FReeping is important. Another spot I have to keep warm is the small of my back while at the computer. I wrap a very long, warm, scarf around my middle. Works well.
There is nothing, nothing like warm socks on your feet!
I LOVE To wear Socks in the house when it’s wintertime.
You all reminded me..I have a new pair of warmy socks I had forgotten about.
I just made a pot of coffee in our new pot (It grinds the beans and then makes a pot of FRESH coffee. It was a gift to ourselves, and its wonderful.) I just poured myself a big mug of fresh hot coffee, and added a flavored coffee creamer Nancy bought, (Pralines and Creme) and it is awesome! I’m sitting here writing, and paused to look out the window and watch two squirrels chasing each other through the pine tree right out side my window. what a perfect moment of peace.
“a new pair of warmy socks”
Now there’s a joy indeed!
I have some real favorites..I like some to use like a lightweight housecoat..some because they are a pretty color or pattern..always my favorites are soft. My grandson shopped and picked out a particularly pretty one for me. a few years ago.I was impressed! Of course I love it more because I thought he did such a good job ..He’s a sailor now and was in Singapore or just leaving there for Christmas.
My goodness, a self grinding coffee bean, brewing pot, never heard of such a contraption! I really don’t care for the fancy coffee creamers, most especially Hazel Nut, to me it changes the taste from coffee to which ever creamer one is using.
OTOH, you sound might content and pleased! Good on you!
I too, have seen those hairy critters playing about, wish I had my birds.
