My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

slow but sure as they say. Nancy was off to her new job, and I’m still looking. Hopefully someone has a use for an old fart other then as a door stop. How about you, pulling those long nights?

This week my main job plant is shutdown for the holidays. I am working the part time gig almost full time during the day until the other one starts up again on Jan 2.

Can’t really stand to be idle. It just drives me up the wall. Must be a hanger-on from those long days while in the Navy. It is in my blood. My Dad worked 16 hours a day until he was 93. He sold his business and died 5 years later.

I know what you mean, I HATE being idle, so when I have to go through it, I burn up the extra energy by writing. Wished I could find an agent and maybe make a buck that way, then it would be the best of all worlds!
