Pittsburgh will be a hell of a game next week, then Miami and the Jets.
The playoffs will be no cakewalk, they need to be firing on all cylinders for that.
Evans TD-tied at 10.
C’mon D- lets go!
Yes you have. I was gonna have lil photoshop me with two blue stars on my chest over a referee’s shirt...to top it off I’d have put on a Colts hat to celebrate the two worst one-way officiated games I’ve seen in a long time (Patriot-Colts and Packers-Cowboys). But every time I was about to have her do it she came up with funner things to do *wink*.
I would actually like to see more 5-6 minute ball control drives then the big 30 yard plus plays. The Pats have moved the ball very well on 2 drives in bad weather and that’s something you have to do in December and January.
Kornheiser is horrible.
Corn-Hole and Jawarski are hard to listen to. Too much of the ESPN All Hype, All The Time.
The wind is a major factor tonight. Where the hell is Maroney? They need to establish a ground game for the bad weather they will face in the upcoming games. Evans is good but, c’mon,Maroney needs to step up here.
For all of the fluff they are sending McDaniel his playcalling is not working. The run is there for them if they want it. Why not run the ball for some 1st downs and set up play action, screens or quick outs off fake hand outs?
This is why I am dreaming of getting McFadden, which pobably won’t happen. If they had a power running back they would be unstoppable...D needs to hold here.
I only watch Monday night football when the Pats are on .... and I think I’m out of here at the half. I’d rather visit the dentist than listen to these Bozo’s the rest of the night.
D!! Need some points before the half.....
Ooooooooh!
Int, fumble, Pats get the ball back...yikes.
That could have been a disaster!
Their refusal to push the issue after they got the ball back is telling. This offense has no confidence tonight.
And, this pass happy crap has to stop. They are a cold weather team and if you can’t run the ball with any consistancy you go home early. I’m not saying you don’t get the ball to the playmakers but Brady cannot be looking to Moss and Welker every single play. Why no screens tonight? Why no running game? Why is Brady taking shots down the field when the conditions simply won’t allow it?
Color me confused....
Trying to force the bomb is dumb. Running, screens, quick outs, etc. Those plays are there and since they have two long drives tonight they can move the ball if they are smart about it. Teams are adjusting to the Pats by taking what they are offering. Why not do the same to the Ravens and force them into something that they really don’t want to do?
The defense has done the job save for that one muffed play.
Watson’s drop cost them 4 points.
See my post #666: "Pats played a mediocre game last week against the Iggles. They rarely play two in a row...look for a rout. Close in the first half. Not so close by the end."
There is something going on with Maroney and I can't put my finger on it. He's obviously been in Belichick's doghouse for some reason or other as he's just not getting the playing time you would expect. He is only a shadow of what he was last year when it looked like he was on his way to being a premier RB in the NFL.
Lets hope they come out and do what you suggested, these long bombs are a really bad call.
Baltimore is gonna give them a real run here in the second half, lets hope the Pats wise up here and start holding on to the ball with long, time consuming TD drives.
