You can view the new trailer here.
For anyone who may have been following this movie, its first trailer premiered before "Transformers" and started a whirlwind of hype (partially because it had no title, and became known as "the mysterious JJ Abrams Monster Movie).
"Cloverfield" is basically about a giant monster attack on New York, as told "Blair Witch" style via a handheld camera.
The original trailer was pretty sweet. However, I was afraid the hype was pretty much dying out, as details since July have virtually been non-existant. Even the title "Cloverfield" only became official a few days ago. There are a few viral marketing websites...www.slusho.jp is a viral site for the movie that's supposed to be filled with clues as to the monster's existence. Www.Tagruato.jp is also a viral site, being the website for a fake Japanese company that has something to do with the giant monster.
My fears are being stilled, though. This new trailer is superb. The movie looks pretty intense and scary. I'm very much looking forward to Jan. 18.
Drew Goddard, from Buffy the vampire slayer and Angel is involved with this movie as well.
LOL, thanks.
It’s alive. It’s huge. It’s...an unstoppable behemoth. It doesn’t know how to shave, either.
I think I read somewhere that Phil Tippet is involved with the SFX on this as well.

BTW...BUMP!
Oh wait. You said "Cloverfield" and not "Butterfield".
Never mind.
Seventeen days...
The worst thing made since Blair Witch Project.
