Led Zeppelin: Genie's Out Of The Bottle [Full-Scale Reunion Tour Likely]
Sky News ^ | 11/15/2007 | Matt Smith

Led Zeppelin have given a clear hint that they are thinking about staging a full-scale tour after their reunion gig next month.

Speaking to Guitar World magazine in the States, guitarist Jimmy Page suggested the one-off show may lead to something bigger.

"It's a bit silly not to because there is such massive demand," he said.

Until now, the band had said they were only planning to do the one show at the O2 Dome, in honour of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.

But following what Page described as the "overwhelming" reaction to the show, clearly they are re-thinking things. It's estimated up to 20 million people applied for just 18,000 tickets.

"It's a bit selfish to do just one show. If that's it, we probably shouldn't have taken the genie out of the bottle," he said.

The show has been delayed while Page rests a broken finger on his left hand. He got the injury when he tripped over a paving slab in the dark.

"The light was very dim and I tripped over something and I landed on various bits of my anatomy but of course the crucial part was left hand, little finger," Page has previously told Sky News.

The rescheduled gig at the O2 Arena will now take place on December 10.

Dittos to the props — Mike Love dubbed him “Captain of the Keyboards” in the early ‘70s. He also co-wrote a few tunes with Dennis Wilson (the second-best writer amongst the Boys). Not saying I’m a C&T fan, but Daryl Dragon has the chops. Plus, he’s been married to Tennille for years...

Left pinky finger? No Stairway, denied! (You need to use that finger to play the intro.)

That was the best concert I ever attended.

I can imagine. That would have been amazing. Especially since they were a newer band at that time and probably tore the roof off. Nice memories, huh, something you'll never forget.

LOL. He was a little hefty wasn’t he? Can you believe he’s married with 10 kids??? I think I read something about that a few years back.

Long-range preparations, in case of famine. ;)

Yep. Wouldn't work with it, the timing would be off if you tried another finger, you'd lose the flow. Good point.

Cool. I still have a Ted Nugent T-Shirt from around 1977 when I had 3rd row seats. My ears bled for a week, the long feedback on “Hibernation” will do that to you!

Now, now. So long as they haven’t yet reached “The Who Reunion Tour #9,012” levels of absurdity... ;)

I went to Ozzy's "No More Tours" (it was suppose to be his last tour) concert in '92 thinking it was his last :) It was a very fun concert even if it wasn't his last.

Bonham is dead.......”Led Zeppelin” no longer exists.

Well, Jason Bonham is on the drums... The first time I saw him play was in the movie "The Song Remains the Same."

And he sounded VERY GOOD playing Bonzo's part on "Out on the Tiles" in "Supergroup."

Actually, I really want to hear how he and John Paul Jones sound together. It always disappointed me as to how JPJ was overlooked by most people.

Jimmy looks great for his age. He ‘wears’ his age very well.
