In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

Perspicacious

Adjective

of acute mental vision or discernment : keen

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.

-it’s gotten dark here.......ominious......probably the black cloud that followed hillary back from Vegas last night. (giggle) the snow flakes just doubled in size.....they are HUGE

I have to be feeling brave to enter the religous threads and actually post.

I don't usually go there anymore. I did my duty for quite some time. But it is a dangerous place for the soul cause you can become too angry and ugly trying to make someone see your point who refuses to release his own prejudices. Even for sake of argument.

our grass is still fresh and green...bright green. unusual for mid-november. the snow has already melted off.......but the flurries continue

LOL, I'm suthren to the bone! :^)

This 3 yr old child was not taught to say Papaw....it was ingrained I tell ya!

btw, for her first couple years, I was 'Mimi'...(who knew!)
..maybe she's French Suthren!

AND it was in Indiana! Drive 14 miles to Kentucky and things are even worse!

Earlier in the week a motel clerk was arrested for pandering his WIFE to an undercover officer. Their 3 kids were staying in the next room no less.

i swear i think i have even seen cards in stores, for various occasions, addressed that way. Nana, while annoying, at least makes sense. the mimaw sounds like an indian dialect maybe or something?

how is papaw pronounced? bc PAPA is fine. pap [as in smear]- aw is how i am thinking it is pronounced.
