I checked pissant's profile and he has indeed been banned or suspended.
I was too concerned about the link to fred08.com (phishing?) and wasn’t paying attention to the part about pissant, I guess.
Obviously not. Especially since the spammer's screen name was Im4Fred.
I do not know what took place, though....I too am an observer, but if the link asks for a credit card number, (and I did not go to the link), I would say there is a very real problem, that I believe the Mods will handle.

No. I am a Hunter supporter and I got 2 of them.
Also, I am not on any Fred ping list.
I clicked on it and I got all sorts of security warnings.
It was asking for credit card info on an insecure page.
I don’t believe it was legit... looked like Phishing to me.

Well I only got one of them and I didn't bother to click on it. If you have a problem with security take it up with Jim, but there is no reason to get your drawers all in a bunch. It appears to me that you are just out to start trouble.

As I am an independent, it’s a moot point. In the hypothetical world of “what if” I would vote for Guiliani.
As a practical matter, I simply don’t see anyone else defeating the beast, even if I prefer their policies. As it seems that Thompson has tanked in the GOP primaries, I don’t see how he could manage to win the national election.
If Hilary is the Democrat’s choice I will vote for whomever is the Republican nominee, even if it were John McCain, which it will most certainly not be. Something that I promised myself that I would not do last year.

Obviously, lot’s of things could change between now and the next 11 and a half months; one can never rule out that the Democrat won’t step in it or scream or have something about those old FBI files resurface!
God only knows what may resurface with the Clintons.
They weren’t Fred supporters at all, my guess is they were likely DUmmies.
My guess, and it is only a guess, is that pissant had accumulated some ping lists. When he was banned, IMHO he retreaded himself as Im4Fred and Be4Fred, and sent out the Freepmail spam written as if he was some sort of rabid Thompson backer. I could be wrong, and have been before.
