OK, no prob with the Anti-virus. Sometimes McAfee (another AV program)will get corrupt and run all the time slowing the computer way down.

Anything else in that list where the "00" number is going up and down?

As for the start up items, there is nothing on there that isn’t needed...

ok, if the virtual mem is reset and the startup list has been adjusted use it normaly and watch for a reoccurrence.

If it is still happening but not as often there is probably a program that is having "memory leak". Uninstall and reinstall of the program usually fixes the problem. Identifying the program that is causing it is the key.
