His mother was an English teacher? You’d never guess by his grammer. “You need to pump your brakes and drive SLOWLY homey.”

If that’s her in the picture, she looks very youthful for 58. But then so many black ladies are lucky enough to hold onto their good looks for many years. It’s a shame she felt she needed cosmetic surgery when she was so young-looking.

Death of Kanye West's mom: Result of complications from cosmetic surgery
As an orderly at a hospital in Oklahoma City, I was present when
a lady died in the hospital after cosmetic surgery.
But I suspect that lady's ticker would have given out whether she
was in the hospital or not. It could be that being in the hospital
actually gave her a chance to survive her heart attack that happened
after the cosmetic procedure.
If she'd been at home, she'd probably not have had a fighting chance.
Either way, her time "was up".

I can’t but wonder if Ray West is the guy who should be getting interviews
and coverage in the media.
He might have some interesting things to say.
Not necessarily about his ex-wife and son...but about his trip from
Blank Panther to photojournalist to Christian marriage counselor.

Hmmm . . .
Further investigation reveals the following about her doctor:
(1) He has multiple DUIs.
(2) He has been accused by a patient of sexual assault.
(3) Before this incident he was already facing loss of license due to the DUIs.
(4) He is not a board-certified plastic surgeon.
(5) He works the talk show circuit, having appeared on Oprah and elsewhere to promote his line of cosmetics for "women of color."
My guess is that Donda West went to a board-certified plastic surgeon who declined to perform the surgery, and then she either got in touch with or was put in touch with a plastic surgeon who was involved with Oprah, known for his boosterism for "women of color" and his Afrocentricity in general.
In other words, she allowed Jan Adams' ideological and cultural appeal to her prejudices to trump his questionable professionalism.
Note to FReepers: do not choose a surgeon just because he claims to be a conservative Republican.
