GRASS VALLEY
A Grass Valley man on trial for murder says he felt possessed while he strangled his wife and shot her three times with a nail gun.
Richard Williams says he felt like he was on autopilot during the killing in October 2005.
Williams told jurors he had stopped taking his antidepressant medication when he shot his wife, then himself with the nail gun. Williams wrote a suicide note before trying to kill himself.
He cried as he described shooting the first nail into his wife. But he otherwise showed little emotion during Friday's testimony.
Nevada County prosecutors say Williams planned the slaying weeks in advance.
The case is being tried in Napa County because there was too much media coverage in Nevada County.
A tv show recently had an act that used nail guns as part of its routine,, kind of ‘Deer Hunter’esque but without any gore at the end .. it’s a family show yaknow.. ..
Obviously he is a professional so he knew a nail would not go into him when he pulled the trigger but..
Kids , don’t try this at home or anytime
It’s been fun. Good night. ;)
I wonder what brand nailgun he used? Gauge and length of nails? Compressor brand? Clipped head or full round? Dual action or restrictive?
Did he have a license for this firearm?
So?
Oh great.
Now O’Reilly’s staff will be all over FR finding all the posters that have said “I’d nail it” in the past.
Tacky...
Not strictly on topic, but am I the only one who thinks Gavin Newsom, the mayor of San Francisco, looks strikingly like Christian Bale as Pat Bateman?
Tacky...
Of course he felt possessed. Maybe he was. So?
Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!
Baning Senco doesn’t bother me, mine is a Porter Cable!
Post # 29 I meant to post to you.
If I got this one right, I’m going to bed...LOL
Dumb. If you really want to kill the wife and get away with it, take her to Grand Canyon, south rim trail. Push her over the side. You better be a good actor, though.
The plane truth - are you on the level?
Did he undergo a background check?
Are nail guns covered under the second amendment?
Will Lowes and Home Depot enforce a waiting period before purchase of nail guns?
Will Walmart stop selling nails or stick them under the counter and make you ask for them?
So many possibilities. Construction businesses beware!
No problem, I’ll probably beat ya to bed.. I’m pooped. ;-)
I haven’t seen the movie, but based on the pic you posted he may have a difficult time doing any damage unless he hits her on the head with the gun. There does not appear to be a connected power source for the gun: battery, air or electric.
