4th place is not exactly a bomb which would have been befitting considering that the RottenTomatoes reviews show only a 27% favorable rating.

Hmmmm...perhaps their timing was a little off.
With victory and peace rising in Iraq, maybe these movies are a little outdated? Somewhat irrelevant?
Heh!

Good. Any political picture with Redford and Streep in it has got to have an ultra liberal message.

From what i’ve heard and read about it, it’s not likely to even be in the top 10 by next week end.

This is a bomb considering that the movie cost $50Million
to produce. According to Medved it will take $100million
in receipts to make money. No chance of that happening.
The point here is that all these anti-Bush Anti-war films
have not made any money.
Hollyweird is hard left. They are out of touch with America.

Here is a review from my favorite celeb gossip site (note the conservative tone of their commentary...they like to smack down the PC glitterati).

Apparently, there is friction (boohoo) amongst the 'stars'...

Then this is one time I will side w/Tom Cruise!
And I’m glad the movie is a flop.

Strike one: For the vast majority of releases nowadays, movies do their best bit of business on opening weekend. After that ticket sales slide at a geometric rate.
Strike two:The movie is opening behind competition that is literally weeks old.
Strike three:Even Roger Ebert couldn't stand the in your face lecturing of this dud.
This movie is a bomb! Hallelujah!!
To: VA Voter
Well, heck. Does this mean that the viewing public isn’t too interested in some blinking actor’s political point of view? When will they ever learn to shut up and entertain?

Heard that it is extremely boring. Like listening to 1,000 hours of CNN and CSpan.

Actually, for a film with a huge marketing budget and mega star power, opening 4th is the definition of BOMB!!

It’s telling that the commercials for the movie don’t even try to explain the plot, but are about 80% voice-overs and 20% Tom Cruise asking “Do you want to win the War on Terror?”
A film that won’t even present itself bombs at the box office. Gee, who could’ve guessed?
I still have no idea what this movie is about.

Haha! Justice! Of course, this will only make them even more bitter, they will continue to paint the rest of the country as misguided, ignorant peons.
I wish I had money to start my own movie studio and distribution operation. I’d clean up where these folks fall down.
