'Lions' doesn't roar - Users crush "Lions for Lambs," and critics aren't too kind, either.

Some more good quotes from user reviews...

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

“...”Lions for Lambs” should’ve be put up there with ‘Water-boarding’ cause it might be considered ‘torture’ by some.”

“HAVING SPENT 10 MONTHS IN AFGANISTAN THIS MOVIE DOES NOT COME ANYTHING CLOSE TO REALITY,THE DETAILS OF THE MILITARY ACTION LEAVE MUCH TO BE DESIRED, AS DOES THE DESCRIPTION OF THE US TROOPS. TOO MUCH OBVIOUS ANTI USA MADE THE MOVIE ALMOST UNWATCHABLE AND FORCE FED THE MOVIE GOER THE USUAL ANTI AMERICAN LINE, PLEASE LET ME COME TO MY OWN CONCLUSIONS. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TITLES CLUELESS IN THE MIDDLE EAST. I HAD HOPED FOR BETTER BUT ONCE AGAIN HOLLYWOOD LET ME DOWN. NO WONDER PEOPLE DON’T GO TO THE MOVIES ANYMORE. THE SUNDANCE KID SHOULD GO BACK TO MAKING COWBOY MOVIES.”

“This wasn’t a movie, it was a manifesto. A manifesto by the most vile and loathsome people Hollywood has to offer. I’d rather stick red-hot needles through my eyeballs than watch this movie ever again.”

“wanted to like it...i don’t mind a critical film that is fair and honest, but it comes off as so hateful that I was turned away. very slow and a number of times bordered on disrespectful of those who sacrifice so much so we can live so well off.”
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Since 911 Hollywood has put out an endless string of anti-war/anti-American films that have all been box-office bombs. Clearly their agenda is more important than making money.

Maybe they thought it was “Silence of the Lambs” and felt ripped off....

There was a time when Hollywood made such films.

Exactly. It has been done, so it CAN be done. Do we really need Hollywood to make a movie?

When I read the Customers' reviews, including the ones posted, I laughed my butt off. Anyone with more than an ounce of respect for our country and the valiant men and women fighting in Iraq and elsewhere to defend her should have known better than to expect anything remotely supportive of America from the likes of Robert "Sundance" Redford or Meryl "Sophie's Choice" Streep.

These two actors, along with a few others we are all familiar with by now: George Clooney, Sean Penn, and Alec Baldwin, have been extremely harsh in their criticism of the Bush Administration from Day 1, never letting an opportunity go by to trash Bush or the War On Terror.

The moment I saw the televised ads (while working out at the base gym--I no longer have cable TV, thank God) the warning bells immediately went off in my head.

...To those who may still be inclined to go see this Turkey, the $10 could be better spent elsewhere: Through a donation to Soldiers' Angels, or the Salvation Army to provide assistance for those here in Southern California affected by the recent wildfires.

I’d just like to know the liberal idiots that fronted ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS for this piece of trash...

Do they realize how many poor kids that could have free healthcare for that??

But it’s not really about helping anyone, is it?

You know what the sad thing is? They don’t care about American Box office anymore..THEY MAKE IT UP OVEREES.. They are a big reason we are so hated around the world..AND THEY MAKE MONEY BY DOING SO. I hate Hollywood so much, I truly hope the next terrorist attack is right in the heart of Hollywood....I know that’s bad, but I can’t help it.

It was 35 million dollars. But that is still too much for trash.

If Robert Redstar doesn’t like this Country, why doesn’t he buy one of those commie utopias he loves?? Lies for Loons is going to challenge Catwoman.

Pray for W and Our Victorious Troops

I can't understand the grade one BoxOffice Internet gave the movie. More than 58% gave it a flunking grade, but it still had a "D" grade. In other words more people gave it a flunking grade than all other grades combined. That should amount to a flunking grade.

But, in other words, more people flunked it than gave it a passing grade.

On the other hand, a movie being pushed by the pro-life movement, Bella has a A- grade on one BoxOffice site and a B+ on another BoxOffice site.

Bella, a low budget first try for the director who helped to co-write the movie, has done a better per screen dollar amount compared to Lions for Lambs.

Robert Redford and company should be picketed for releasing such garbage that dumps on American soldiers/service people on Veterans Day weekend.

Maybe when the movie Lions for Lambs is released on DVD, Service people can take turns urinating on the DVD to show proper respect for these Hollywood types.

Admittedly, it is a waste of good urine, and more importantly, of our Service people's time, but I think it is time that someone let Hollywood know that it if they urinate on our service people, the in-kind will be done with their trashy movies...

Will it break $10 million? Right now it’s saddled somewhere between Delta Farce $8.1 million and BRATZ $10+ million. In fact, BRATZ did better than both In the Valley of Elah and Rendition!
