Maybe not, but it did in some cases last months...
Some immigrants stayed there in quarantine if they were lucky to not be sent back because they had TB or some other disease or were a known criminal etc..
Just because the immigrants got to Ellis Island, did not mean they set foot on mainland America...
Ellis Island was an intake station, not a breathing spot..
Illegal aliens are not checked for disease or any criminal background etc..which would be detected if they applied to come here as REAL immigrants..

Note that the FBI public files (such as the uniform crime victimization survey) count Hispanic perpetrators of violent crime as “Caucasian,” while Hispanic victims of violent crime are counted as “Hispanic.” When Hispanic perpetrators are not lumped in with “Caucasians,” then my recollection of the Chicago homicide statistics is that approximately 45% of the homicides are committed by “Hispanics.” Only approximately 5% of Chicago homicides are committed by Caucasians (when Hispanics are not counted as Caucasians), and approximately 1% each are committed by Asians or “other.” (I’m not really sure who is in the “other” category, but I assume it’s mostly American Indians or Australian Aborigines.) Approximately 50% of homicides in Chicago are committed by ... well, you probably already know.
The point? The opinion that 50% of homicides are committed by Caucasians is an artifact of poor data management, and apparently nothing more.
Our President stepped in with strong leadership. He said his first duty was always, at the end of the day, protect the American people from such terror and death on our soil in the future.
I am so glad that he has kept our promises, and that since September 11 little to no Americans have been killed on our soil, during this state of war, by foreign aliens here, and that he has kept all the violence safely from our shores and citizens and confined it to the Middle East.

Fedding frenzies you allude to are for a reason. When a white, Christian, conservative criminal is convicted of murder, or rape, then released from prison early, only to kill or rape again, a fedding frenzy ensues.

You’re a hypocrite. You don’t give a damn about that little girl. You couldn’t be bothered to so much as tell anyone about her, until you found a way to use her tragedy to lobby for your twisted agenda. You used her tragedy to promote more tragedies.
