My wifey stocks up on stuff during the year. So when Xmas time comes around, with the exception of one or two big things, it’s just a matter of picking out of the stash. For the Kids, anyway.

It used to be easy to buy stocking stuffers during the year, but as the kids get older, it’s harder.

I suspect there will come a time when the things that tickled them as little kids, will give them good memories as big kids. I hope, anyway. ;o]

I have LOTS of Christmas decorations, but no room to put them out in this place.

I don’t have any kids so I don’t have that problem.

No. Mid-40s and trying to rain but nothing more than the occasional drop. Dark, damp, and dreary — I love Pacific Northwest winters!

Kids are absolutely wonderful things to have. I only have two (grown now) and wish I could have had more. I enjoy my kids, AND my grandkids. I’ve learned a lot from all of them. And I wouldn’t trade the experiences for anything in the world, even if some were heartbreaking. :o]

Kids are cool!

*stamps snow off boots*

Happy Festivus, everyone!

We are ready for our snow day tomorrow, and maybe Monday too.

What is Christmas shopping?

I went to the local grocery store, and had to fight my way into a parking spot because of the people wanting Hannah Montana tickets. The air was blue for a while, and I sure wish I’d had an air horn on that truck....

My in-laws are still stuck on the ground in Rochester, NY, waiting to catch their flight to Chicago. Seems to be some weather delays.

I was afraid of that. It’s supposed to get REALLY nasty, back east.

Wood? check.

Beer? check.

Potatoes? Cheese? Gravy? check.

Bear skin rug? (This is where the fantasy falls apart)

Kid staying home with Mom and Dad on a Saturday night, heading into a snow storm, with no friends within walking distance? check.

Rochester has gotten some winter precip.

I have a constantly updated weather map displayed at the bottom of my about page. It looks as though the -Chickadees are finally going to get some rain.

I’ve been out chopping up some wood. I need to make a run for some liquid fuel, but I think I’m ready for what’s about to happen.

Have you seen the radar? Is Chicago their final destination?
