Well...you HAVE been busy!
Did you get a chance to read the story that Darksheare and I cobbled together?

Not quite yet...
On top of all the other “happenings”, my in-laws come in from New York tonight. Today will be spent cleaning the house.

Wonderful! Will they be staying for Christmas?
Don’t forget to mark the place where the story is...or...I can always FReepmail it to you.

Yep. They always go home New Year’s Eve—the flights are cheaper and more plentiful.
I’m always up for a FReepmail!

Hi! It’s raining here. It started while I was at the Girl Scouts office for a science program with the Brownies. The girls all cheered when they heard the drops hitting the skylights! (Then one of the skylights started leaking.)
We don’t quite have the shopping done, but we’re not overly fixated on Christmas as the day to give things, either :-). DP got some animal toys for the little boys yesterday, and we’re planning to get them a new mini-trampoline (usable in the house). We got one when we first moved here, but it wore out from all the jumping Bill did, before he got into serious distance running.
The presenter at the Girl Scouts activity today would like to sell us a 4’ corn snake with all his accessories. Tom and Anoreth are whooping, but DP will have to decide.

Well, Christmas is “easy” for me. I buy stocking stuffers for the two little kids here, and do birthdays for the little kids in Arkansas, since one is in December and one is in January.
The two big boys get whatever I can afford at the time. The one here is an m&m freak, so he’s getting an m&m stocking stuffer. The one in Ft. Lewis is another matter.
The Christmas for my kids has been difficult. Neither of them wants me to spend any money on them, so that was hard. However, since Igor and I adopted each other’s kids, I sent off for copies of the Adoption Decrees, and that’s what they will get.
A snake. A corn snake. My daughter has a snake. He doesn’t like her. He keeps trying to bite the hand that feeds him. Good luck with yours. (If DP agrees....)

See? LOL!
When my kids were “small” I started buying Christmas in June. In November, I made ornaments for the tree, and planned house decorations. The first week in December, I mailed cards and packages, and wrapped presents. The second week in December, we put up the tree. The week before Christmas, I made cookies and candies.
Christmas Day was easy. Now, I don’t do NUTHIN’!!!

I always wait until the last minute, and then until next year.

I have a small Nativity on my table, and a large “snow globe” champagne bucket for New Year’s Eve. That’s it for decorations. I can’t even recall the last time I bought wrapping paper.
