Glad you like it! I do like it a lot...I would post more of it here, but so much of it’s InuYasha manga oriented right now, that it’d take a lot of explaining. But it’s been a good venue for me to stretch those writing muscles.
This I wrote as a halloween poem, but it may assume too much if you’re not familiar:
Shiver, woman, shiver,
beneath the pale moonlight,
a touch of youki raises hair,
though nothing is in sight
piercing eyes are watching you —
glittering, sharp, and bright.
Shiver, woman, shiver
as you walk beneath the trees,
Is that rustling that you hear
just branches in the breeze?
Or as you search the shadows,
is he smiling as he sees?
Shiver, woman, shiver
as red blends into black.
you hear a sound, you turn to look,
there’s nothing at your back —
he sniffs the spice of your unease
as you walk the shadowed track.
Shiver, woman, shiver
as a shadow slips behind,
a sardonic smirk, a flash of eye —
you look, but cannot find,
a silent footstep follows you
tugging at your mind,
Shiver, woman, shiver,
he walks softly behind you,
feel his breath hot on your neck -
what now will you do?
Feel the tingles down your spine
in electric midnight blue.
Shiver, woman, shiver,
as his breath stirs in your hair,
a single claw runs down the neck
you offer to him there,
stand there absolutely still -
breath softly if you dare.
Shiver, woman, shiver
as he whispers in your ear,
how odd, the pounding of your heart
while he makes his message clear
your thoughts swirl with a thousand dreams,
he tells you his only fear:
“Don’t forget the Ramen!”
(one of the main characters is really obsessed with Ramen as being the most excellent food there is. The woman in the poem is the person who brings it to him.) Youki is that eerie feeling that supernatural beings make one feel...the aura they give off.
WOW WOW WOW this is gripping! I love it. Mysterious, wild, strong images. Excellent.
How about we put it in the Anthology??
“Great! How is the book coming?”
Got another three chapters done, and am now researching the next part of the story, dealing with computer viruses and satellite telemetry systems. Roughly half way done with the book according to my book outline plan.
Looking for a couple of proof readers for the last book, a story of Middle East unrest, and War on Terror. The readers will be checking continuity and storyline, (not spelling or grammar, that’s the last step). Anyone here want to read a PDF formated book for free?
Fine by me. Another Knittingknots poem, btw.
Okay, thanks for the info.
It looks like the dog is equipped with the latest in media systems, “DOGCOM” a 300-channel satellite system that empowers canines, giving them TV on-demand, especially the Nature Channel, and Animal Planet shows 24/7. Truly shows how much of an animal lover one is by subscribing to the service for their doggy-friends!
Hell, since I spent a lot of time in the ME and am familiar with most of current happenings, why not. Be happy to proof read your book.
LOL.
Hump Day, funny!!!
Your graphic skills are awesome, just awesome!
Thanks, if you PM me your email, I’ll send it off to you for your study. Same for anyone who wants to read it for me.
Hilarious!! I had to watch it three times to get it. LOL
All channels except the Cat Channel. He’s not allowed to watch that till he’s all better.
That’s not my work. I stole it. It’s my humor, though, and I would have made it if it wasn’t there already.
“All channels except the Cat Channel. Hes not allowed to watch that till hes all better.”
I bet, the sheer aggravation of watching the Cat Channel would interrupt his recovery no end!!!
They figured he’d hurt himself if allowed to watch cats on tv.
That’s beautiful!
I think the trick is to use the cone to scoop up a load, and raise the head so the food runs down the sides of the cone to the mouth. This is why humans are at the TOP of the food chain and not the cats, we can think of how to adapt.
He can scoop it into the cone but all it does is slide around the cone under the chin and around the neck.
