[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

It'a bright sunny day but my head feels like it has lead in it from
allergies..I usually feel OK by this time of day after they attack... Yuk.

It cold and crisp here today, it started out very dreary but the sun did come out to make a lovely afternoon. Of couse, it’s getting dark now.

8 years! I am so proud of you!
It was 9 years and 9 months before I got mine, and it was as much a surprise to me as my Captain who pinned it on me! (especially considering how often we exchanged genteel and sometimes humorous pleasantries during those assorted Captain’s Masts!)

LOL, a real first family home. Needs about a ton of insulation and a couple of windows here and there. In time it would shape up good. Lovely location, isolated and very private.

A few boards, cracks stuffed with moss, and a right brisk fire in the potbelly and it’ll do fine.

Gee whiz one or the other of we Lairites seem to be down with something. Meg’s allergies, WJ was coughing and hacking some weeks ago, Lady Jag was down with her back, I was out of it for a month, and so it goes. At least now we can all stand and walk!
