If this "pet" has been derived out of the leopards found in Asia, I wouldn't want to bet on its behaviour with small children. If ever its 'wild' side turned on after seeing small kids scamper before it, the outcome won't be too nice. A lot of animal instincts are somewhat programmed genetically, and I wonder how they've managed to ensure that none of those natural traits have gotten ingrained in one of these "pets".

Indian Leopard.

This is a screenshot from one of the pages of the "Lifestyle Pets" site, which provides just a little bit of additional information on the cats.

That first photo looks exactly like our Bob. He’s no where near 30 pounds... more like 18 but his coloring and eyes are exactly the same. He’s part desert lynx.

Man, I dunno. Neither did Ogden Nash:

A panther is like a leopard
except it hasn't been peppered
should you behold a panther crouch
prepare to say ouch
better yet, if called by a panther
don't anther.

"...prefers a warm bed." Yeah. Yours. Whaddyagonnadoaboudid?

Because of its exotic heritage, however, it does prefer a heated bed.

And is well equipped to insist upon it.
