I don’t know about the world market, but I think the PC market in the US is driven by games. If “Bioshock” can run on a Linux platform, then the Linux userbase will expand. If it doesn’t, the Vista userbase will expand.

I run one Vista box for games and general browsing and one Ubuntu box for visting jiahd sites. LOL. And you are right, if I could get Wine to play more games I’d dump Vista and run 100% Ubuntu. BTW: My Ubuntu systyem is free, never gets viruses and has NEVER crashed.

Yeah, games make a huge impact on the viability of a platform.

However, so do other apps. Such as photoshop. Tax programs. CAD. And on and on.

I wish GIMP would shoot for universal CMYK support. That would really help out.
