If rival Ohio State clinching the Big Ten title with a 14-3 win over Michigan on a rainy Saturday wasn't enough, speculation about the future of coach Lloyd Carr only added to the gloomy Ann Arbor mood.
What happened? I thought y'all would surely get your game back on... for Da Gipper Coach, for the ole Wolverine pride....

"On this fine Sunday morning off you go to church to confess your manifold sins and wickednesses. You know to whom that applies"utalkintome? Howdyaknow? LOL I confess to skipping mass this morning... not sayin nuttin about any wickedness, though. (hum, I'm thinkin that might be why I'm not seeing that church or the flowers you posted). But, I'll make the 5pm this afternoon. Only a handful of parishioners attend that one, and usually no children, so its very brief. :)

Whew! I can now see the church and the flowers and they are, indeed, very beautiful :)
That church (cathedral) looks enormous. Is it in Valleta?

Good morning LJ. Malta has more churches that bars, the Roman Catholic church has been in control for centuries, although today its influence has been much curtailed.
No not in Malta, rhododendrons are not a Mediterranean flower. I believe they came originally from Tibet. I remember them from my boyhood in England when they almost lined the length our three quarters of a mile driveway.
I also lived in Llandulas, North Wales, not far from Portmarion.

Yes, it is in Valetta - I did not take the pic as I do not have such a wide angle lens.

You have traveled and lived in a bunch of lovely places, then?
Wales is one of my favorites. UK all together has quite a lot stuffed into those little islands, too.

You have traveled and lived in a bunch of lovely places, then? Indeed I have my Lady -- I have traveled all over the world and crossing every imaginary line, even the Antarctic circle. I have had a life of fun, and great adventure in many lands.
This is a picture of my first ship, in which I served two and a half years in East Indies. The pic was taken a few years after I had I left it.

HMS Birmingham entering the Grand Harbour, Malta, late 1950s.

Hi guys, this is a test.
Having probs with Smugmug, so wanted to see if Pbase was working before posting anything. My puter is behaving badly all of a sudden, and I just did a system restore, besides all the other spyware and anti-virus thing-a-majigs. Hope it stops from freezing on me, if not to the shop it goes. :(
To: Cardhu
Nice pic, Cardy.
I think a download of Java on Smugmug did me in. I was trying to upload some pics, and it never went all the way thru and I had to stop it. Do you have Smugmug now, and if so can you check and see if it’s working right today? Seems like it’s off it’s feed to me.

Yours did not show up for me - I hope mine shows up for you.
