I’ll look into it. Haven’t been but friends have mostly for vacation. One moved to Denver and others who spent time in Denver area said it was expensive and clicky.
For me it’s too far from the ocean.

So, Cardi....we’re have you been?! You were directed to report in..........the other day!
To: derllak
Hi Derly - Yes it is Spain - Madrid in fact. Strangely enough we have been having some great weather here during the last four days -— Indian Summer in January.
To: Lady Jag; derllak
I, personally, would NEVER want to live in Denver.
I did miss the ocean when I lived there....but, they have some beautiful hot springs. : )
To: nicmarlo
I know Nicci - Mea culpa - I have just been giving the puter a rest while I did movie stuff.
Eating out and cooking stuff too.
To: Cardhu
We’re all glad you’re well. A break is definitely needed periodically.

The cost of living is ridiculous in the Denver are. What’s on the west slopes for someone who gave up playing in snow a few decades ago?
Half the places we all see are beautiful. To live ina place a person’s looking for a lot more than that. At least I am. Costs is first.

Derly, you must be suffering from the same syndrome as Nic and Sharkey....brain freeze frozen brains. Y'all can have that icebox! Can't quite understand why Darks doesn't seem to be affected.but then, we all know that he isn't quite "right."

The Grand Junction area is booming right now, and has been, for many years. However......they don’t pay great there. And because of the “invasion” of Californians because of the liberal crap going on in CA.....they’ve have created a massive increase, of late, in real estate costs. It WAS the place to move to/retire to....in the 90’s. The crime remains low and the overall cost of living there is still not bad...you can still afford to buy a home there, especially if you are selling high out of state and buying *much lower* in that area...which you easily can, by comparison.

heheheheeeeeeee
oh sweets.....you know what I don’t like most about the south?
Ya’all grow HUGE bugs out there! The wasps are the size of helicopters....and the cockroaches can tackle a mouse! : )

I just took a pic of my daughter´s place in Malta after they had the counter top put in. They are gradually getting things installed and most of the dusty work is completed. At least they can eat at home now when they come.
It is a little difficult organising everything from 6,000 miles away.

"Yaall grow HUGE bugs out there! The wasps are the size of helicopters....and the cockroaches can tackle a mouse" That is much further south. They don't even sell saddles for the roaches in Arkansas, and you can take down the wasps with a BB gun. Now Georgia and Florida, on the other hand...well, that's another story.

WB, Cardi. In that picture of your daughter’s apartment, there is something I don’t get - the plates on the right side of the picture - look almost like they are floating.

In Beaufort, the roaches scratch at the door to be let in.
I'm not kidding or exaggerating.
