Good morning all you Freep/Peops. Another sunny, lovely day here in south Flori-duh.

Just getting ready to put a Cran/Orange bread in the machine. Love to see and smell that sucker work. ;) I think this loaf is going to our neighbors, but maybe this will be a test loaf, and the next one will be theirs. (Might be safer that way..lol)

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, like we did.

Afternoon, gran :) Oh, gosh, I can almost smell that wonderful Cran/Orange bread baking. Love that smell.

Had a lovely Christmas but I'm glad things have been a little quieter, fewer people around for the past couple of days... I love seeing and being with them all but its nice when my home is my once again my refuge LOL

Hehehehe... Bet this caused more than one lamp to fly at Clinton Headquarters....

BARACK BLASTS 'SECRETIVE' CLINTONS
By MAGGIE HABERMAN

December 27, 2007 -- Sen. Barack Obama kicked off the countdown to the Iowa caucuses yesterday with a sharp attack on Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton - raising the specter of a "secretive" history and problems in her husband's administration.

"You have to ask yourself, who's talked the talk, because that will be the measure of how seriously they take this stuff," Obama said.

"If they've been secretive in the past, they'll be secretive as president," he said at an Iowa rally. "If they haven't been all that strong on lobbyists in the past, doesn't matter what they say in the campaign - they won't be that strong about it when they are president."

The "secretive" charge has been lodged by Clinton critics who question why thousands of pages of material from Hillary's days as first lady haven't been released.

Clinton, campaigning with her husband, took a veiled jab at Obama. "Some believe you can get change by demanding it, and some believe you can get change by hoping for it," she said.

"I believe you can get change by working really, really hard for it. And I think it takes strength and experience to be able to make change in our political system," she went on. "We don't have any time to waste."

LINK

Two things The Hideous One didn't factor about Obamy. First is his willingness to address subject the MSM is afraid of broaching... The second is his "Alpha Wife". Mrs Obamy actually was/is a practicing attorney, a graduate of Harvard Law School, a former associate at the University of Chicago and a mother of two. IOW, she didn't grab the coattails of her husband and hang on for dear life. Perhaps that is why her husband seems fearless about challenging her claims of experience and ability.

"did you spend Christmas with your new friend and his family and did you take him with you to KY"

Yes, we spent a wonderful Christmas together....and Christmas Eve....and the evening/night before Christmas Eve, and the day before that.....and the evening before that! He's still talking to me, so I guess that's a good sign. LOL! Yes, we did go to his familys' on Christmas and on Christmas Eve. He couldn't come with me to Kentucky becaue he had to be back at work yesterday. He did talk to my family on the phone on Christmas though....and he seems to accept that he will forever be known as "Jeff" in my family. (My dad thinks he looks like Jeff Foxworthy...so he calls him Jeff and has gotten the rest of the family calling him that).

"when is he getting on FR?"

I wouldn't be holding my breath for that. Whenever he isn't working or playing with me, he's playing with his motorcycles or shopping on ebay.

As it is my birf day tomorrow I though that I would help you generous DDers and steer you in the right direction by giving some guidance as to an appropriate gift for the noble Cardi.

No gran, I know you are thinking along the lines of a loaf of Cran/Orange bread, but I have to watch my waist line. I have shown below something more to my taste.

I don´t think I would want the one with the helicopter as it takes up too much of the owner´s space for very little convenience. And it is not something us serious yachties would clutter our decks with - more for the nouveau riche.

I know many of you have been putting out large sums for the family over the past few weeks and need a holiday for the outgoings. But, mes amis, my legal team have devised a scheme whereby you may give to the Foundation for the Innocents, which will be inaugurated tomorrow, that meets all the criteria for a tax free charitable organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 409A and 501(c)3.

Stick it to the IRS on Form 990 in the new year.

I am pondering the one on the left.

Ah, sweet, thats wonderful. I gather his family is in Arkansas? Well, I’m thinking its prolly not a bad thing that he reminds your father of Jeff (Foxworthy). Most people see Jeff Foxworthy as easy-going and likable.

My dad loves Jeff Foxworthy. Actually, his family is in Missouri, but might as well be Arkansas. It’s just across the border.
