That’s neat, Cardy. I hadn’t seen that before.
It is isn´t it. Here are the lyrics:
(Tiny Tim) Life is full of sweet surpises
Everyday’s a gift
The sun comes up and i can feel it lift my spirit
Fills me up with laughter, fills me up with song
I look into the eyes of love and know that i belong
Bless us all, who gather here
(Piggy) The loving family i hold dear
(Kermie) No place on earth, compares with home
And every path will bring me back from where i rome
(All)Bless us all, that as we live
We always comfort and forgive
We have so much, that we can share
(Tiny tim) With those in need we see around us everywhere
(Tiny Tim & Piggy)
Let us always love eachother
Lead us to the light
Let us hear the voice of reason, singing in the night
(Kermie & Piggy)
Let us run from anger and catch us when we fall
(Tim) Teach us in our dreams and please, yes please
(All) Bless us one and all
(Tim)Bless us all with playful years
With noisy games and joyful tears
(All) We reach for you and we stand tall
(Kermie) And in our prayers and dreams
We ask you bless us all
(Tim) We reach for you and we stand tall
And in our prayers and dreams we ask you
Bless us all... *Tiny Tim starts to Cough*
? ... ? I confused. I thought you got the dress to wear for a pre-Christmas soirée?
Yes, I really do enjoy them... every place is decorated more beautifully than the last, and the people are too. Plus, the food is almost always fabulous. LOL
The problem is it can all get out of control with too many functions, too many committments. The good thing is, most of them are annual events so Im able to shop for them well in advance. Bought most of the things Im wearing this time in the summer and spring. The bad thing is, with Mardi Gras following Christmas we have an extended season with another round of dress up balls and parties. This year Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) falls on the 5th of February and thats the earliest anyone can remember. Mardi Balls start on 6 January... Im very happy that seasson only last a month this year.
I love the dress I wore last night... its the one I really splurged on but apparently it was worth it. FOFLOL.
It was initially. Change of plans. We decided to do something else that night. I wouldn't have gotten the dress in time anyway.
Good results, eh? That always makes the price a little less painful.
We are having Mardi Gras here this year. Apparently there is someone here who was part of the institution of Mardi Gras in New Orleans and who has made it his mission to make Mardi Gras here as big as the one there. Can't say I really want to see that, especially with the perverted decadence that has become so prevalent in the area. I do like the idea of it though. The festivals, shows and events here are almost constant, and now that I am seeing somewone who absolutely loves doing these things, I expect I will be participating a lot more frequently.
We learned yestrday that Mardi Gras here will be on his birthday. We already had plans for dinner that evening, but our plans have now expanded considerably to include gumbo for lunch, parade and whatever else seems like fun at the time.
lol...poor you. (I’ve slipped and all of course, but never have been able to give myself a black eye...much less two of them hehehe)
Oooooo..I meant to tell you; I just tested out the recipe for the spirited cocoa! WOW! I am very pleased with the results. I might tweak it a little bit to use more milk than water, but other than that, it is just about perfect! That chai liqueur is awesome. He will be impressed.
Aaaah, mystery solved. LOL Thank you :) I thought I remembered hunting for possibilities sometime around Thanksgiving and that you needed it for something coming up about 2 weeks after that.
I made my mother's eggnog yesterday and just tried a little glass ... its just about perfecct. LOL
FOFLOL... Yes, excellant results :) I’ve got a photo of the dress, not of me, just of the dress. :) Its the photo that I first saw and used to hunt it down.
Well, apparently he couldn't wait until tomorrow. Just got off the phone and he wants me to come up tonight instead. Don't know what his computer situation is, so I might not be around for the next few days. I might take my laptop...just in case I actually get an opportunity to use it.
You two seem to be having a great time together, thats just great. Go, have fun and don't give us another thought... we'll all be here after the first of the year, eager to hear the latest :) Merry Christmas, sweet. .
"You two seem to be having a great time together, thats just great."
We are having a wonderful time. This will be our longest extended contact yet. Be interesting to see how that goes.
Better go wrap his present and take a shower. Gonna get a late enough start as it is.
If I don’t see y’all before, everybody have a Merry Christmas. I will be home by Christmas night, but may be leaving the next morning for Louisville.
Have a VERY Merry Christmas, sweets!!! (and Happy New Year in case I don’t *see* you by that time).
Thanks. The photo doesn’t really do it justice. It is so beautifully constructed, so very comfortable, that you forget its a strapless. No tugging, or fretting about whether or not everything is still where its supposed to be. FOFLOL
Does he live in the same town? Long drive?
