They’re cheap because they feed off of each other.
The lab technicians don’t become attached to them.
No environmental group protests their use.
The supply is unlimited.
and
There are some things you just can’t get a rat to do...

St. Paul, while being taken to Rome, was wrecked on the island of Malta.

In the background you can see our apartment building.

No tide, huh? Wow! Not only does one learn something every day, once in a while one is stunned.

I thought for sure it was big enough.

Beautiful boat under a Swiss flag. Odd the sheets don’t match the boat, especially being Suisse and all.

White cross on red is Swiss. Half white, half red is Maltese.

Still learning today.

From Wikipedia. Interesting last sentence; the flag is new:

The Flag of Malta is a basic bi-colour, with white in the hoist and red in the fly: colours from the blazon of the arms of Malta. Tradition states that the colours of the flag were given to Malta by Count Roger of Sicily, in 1091. The banner of Count Roger was a chequered red and white flag and he gave a set from this banner. However, many say that this claim is only a legend developed through time.

In the upper hoist corner (in the canton of the white field) is the George Cross, outlined in red. The honour was awarded by King George VI to the entire Maltese population for their exceptional bravery and gallantry during World War II. This flag was adopted upon Malta’s independence, on 21 September 1964. The Maltese flag is unique in that it is the only national flag in the world bearing a decoration from another country, in this case the United Kingdom.

There was a young lady lawyer in my area to whom I gave some advice.
Yes, shocking, I gave a lawyer advice.
The advice was this: if she worked at staying cute and keeping her looks, she’d have a long and promising career.
Then I pointed behind me at one of her [horse faced] colleagues and said, “look like her and you’ll find out how serious your clients being.”

(Is it a sad thing that she said, “Whaaaaat?”)

OOh, you got the L-eet post.

She got clients and won based more off her looks than on ability.
Her colleague, who really did have a horse face, had more ability than looks.
If she’d had looks and ability, she’d have been close to being the ultimate lawyer.
