I just think it is awful how those Bush brownshirts assaulted these concerned guests of the Democrat congressmembers. Seriously, while this dangerous moonbat was assaulting the Secretary of State, Medea Benjamin was kicking a fit and wrestling with at least two capitol police in the back of the room before they hauled her out. There were several other Code Pinks in there in what could have become a dangerous scene. How they don’t know to let these dangerous animals into the hearing room is beyond me. I don’t care if McDermott, Lantos or whoever of the wacko left congress gives her a pass to get in, this has to stop.
Today should be a red alert to the capitol police to keep Code Pink out of these hearings. The fact that this raving lunatic was able to get that close to the Secretary of State should cost somebody their job. She could very easily have had a pen or pair of eyeglasses with a removable temple that could have been used as a knife (like Godfather 3) to stab Condi. God forbid she smuggles in a vial of acid and throws it in her face. This was dangerous when they did it to General Petraeus - now it is out of control. Anarchists do not have a place in civil society and these leftists are getting bolder and bolder. When they can’t win they will turn violent.
One other thing - Bill O’Reilly had Medea Benjamin on his show a couple of weeks ago as a guest and treated her as though she is worthy of respectful, dignified treatment. Big mistake Bill. That’s the memo, now for our top story...
This isn’t in the least way funny. Rice would have been dead if this were an assassination attempt. I just can’t recall a “conservative activist” running up to a liberal official like this. I agree, whoever security was in this room needs to be fired NOW!

Everyone of these Code Pink demonstrations/ambushes at congressional hearings, attacking Bush administration people, is known about in advance by Pelosi’s office and approved of by her staff in coordination with the staffs of other members of the “progressive” caucus. In the past they have actually traced tickets to events back to a left wing Marin county congresswoman's office. When the tape is played on TV tonight Pelosi and her staff will be high-fiving each other.
I would guess also that NBC, CBS and ABC News were given a heads up.
Code Pink only has a small number of hard core full time trouble makers. Everyone of them has been photographed numerous times a demonstrations and other disruptions. Capitol Hill police have all there pictures. Anyone security person checking at the door or who looked over the people in the room would have spotted this woman. At the very least Pelosi’s office has ordered the capitol police to allow code pink people into these hearings knowing full well that they always disrupt these hearings.
I expect the perpetrator to become a minor celebrity, I am waiting for Matthews and Olberman to call her a hero. Diane Sawyer will ask her one of those tough questions like “What message did you want to send the Secretary? Newsweek will have her on the cover with a headline that says “America speaks will the Bush administration listen?”
These are Democrat Thugs like Hitler's Brown Shirts FReep Pelosi's and Lanto's offices that the National Socialists Brown (pink) Shirts are unacceptable.

Look at the photo closely. Watch the security officer in the bottom left corner of the photos. Wow, look at that instant reaction to the possible threat.

I'm assuming that there was a "response team" already designated to take someone down if necessary. Police and security teams try to refrain from everyone piling in on a disruptor. It's easier to designate who responds so there isn't a gap in security around the room. You never know if the disruptor isn't staging a diversionary tactic. Not having everyone respond at the same time is standard practice.
