In the early 1900s, the Red Sox were known as the Plymouth Rocks.

In the early 1900s, the Red Sox were known as the Plymouth Rocks.

More importantly, the "Rox", as Colorado attempts to call themselves, is a Can-Am League (Independent) team owned by Bill Veeck, Jr. located in Brockton, MA, a Ramirez Rocket shot from Fenway.
