Ignorance is a beautiful thing... especially when the ignorant publish for all to see the abysmal level of their knowledge... and how well they write and spread FUD... PING!

If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.

A pro never argues whether a PC or a MAC is better. Rather we argue whether Emacs or vi is better and clueless guts like this never have a clue what we're talking about.

You’re not going to believe it. I have the TV on, and Jonathan Falwell (Jerry’s son) is giving a sermon on “iTruths”. He’s even got a giant iPod on stage (a monitor they’ve rigged up to look like an iPod). It’s actually a good sermon so far...

My only problem with my mac is that i hate the way that MS-OFFICE for MAC is formatted.

Why not just format it like Office for Windows?

I can’t stand Macs, but after trying out IE 7 I now understand why people HATE Microsoft. Wow that browser is badly designed.

This is a very odd article. I see a lot of hissy fits but no functionality comparisons. If he's going to diss 'em he ought to be specific.

All the stubble-cheeked, pony-tailed, black-clad hipsters in the design department get it, but us dweeby drones doing the real work are just out of touch.

For reference, this is Jonathan Ive, Apple's design chief:

And, yes, you are out of touch. Ever worked in a drab gray cube farm? Ever worked in a well-designed office? Remember the difference? Design matters.

I saw the 24 inch iMac this week. Stunning display. I've never used a Mac and have no use for one but that is one cool machine.

I'm fiddling with Sabayon Linux tonight. It easily runs beryl. It's the coolest and most beautiful user interface I've ever seen.

I challenge this writer to read this article:

and not want to switch to Mac right away.

The Mac/PC wars have to be the dumbest thing ever. What flippin’ difference does an operating system really make, after all? How much times does one spend in their machine’s OS? Don’t you really spend that time in application software?

You were using Office yesterday on the PC, and will likely be using Office on your Mac tomorrow.

Oh no! The horror! I access my shortcut menus in a way other than right clicking!!! The humanity!!!

BTW, a PC guy since the outset. Taught my first application class while RR was in the WH. A few years later was teaching common apps on both platforms in the same classroom at the same time.

Anyone remember these old saws:
1) the use of the mouse is a sign of terminal computer illiteracy (pro PC)
2) Friends don’t let friends do DOS.
