Marburg - A pedestrian in Germany survived unhurt when a dead swan fell onto him out of the sky, police in the central city of Marburg said on Tuesday.
The man, 21, felt something hit his back, turned around and saw the dead bird on the ground.
It had apparently been electrocuted on overhead wires from a nearby power station.

Ok, how would a swan get electrocuted by touching a wire?
You said, and I see it every day, birds could sit on a wire unharmed.

I said one wire only! I've seen a Raven cross beteen two wires at a job site...25KVA (14,000= volts, unknown Amperage factor, other than feed for an industrial park...you do the math) blew the bird apart!

No falling pellets?
I had a fish fall about 10 feet or so away. Most likely dropped by an osprey. Slight chance of bald eagle, though.

This was not funny for the swan

A raven knocked out power to the whole downtown that way. He didn’t look so good after his stunt.
