This is a tough situation for any team. I still think it could have been worst. The Yankeens wanted to changed Managers, but how does one do it 'tastefully?'
I for one, would like to keep a few players and clean up, including Rod I am afraid, and many others that simply don't produce as a Yankee player should.

Joe had the bad luck to manage the Cards during the brewery final days of ownership. No commitment to winning. I believe he would have done as well or better than TLR with the same personnel. I never the arrogant SOB (TLR) when he was with Oakland.

Who gives a damn? Jeez, the friggin’ Yank-offs season is over! I’m sick of the media giving them so much attention. They couldn’t buy a team last year, and their douchebag fans can cry all they want.

Tony L grew up in Ybor City (Tampa) with another hothead, Lou Pinella.

Tony L grew up in Ybor City (Tampa) with another hothead, Lou Pinella. What is wrong with Tampa? Dwight Gooden was the next Bob Gibson until he snorted his life away.

What is wrong with Tampa? "Gentleman's clubs", gangs, corruption, and (until recently) La Cosa Nostra. The Hillsborough County Democratic party was for years controlled by the Trafficante "family."
