The other team that could make some noise is Tampa Bay. I’ve been really surprised at their start, they could be this year’s Bears, great defense, with an average offense.

I was thinking of the Patriots last year in the playoffs...3 starting DB's out, Seau out, Seymour out and still not back, team hit by flu bug. The Eagles problem was a wholesale resting of players more than one week.

The chance at a SB is far more important than an undefeated regular season imho.

I don’t think you should make an undefeated regular season a goal, but I don’t believe in lots of rest at the end of the season. And I think you should try to win every game you play, not to go undefeated but to keep putting forth the good effort.

Tampa and GB both have possibilities, but they both have running game issues.

I can understand that...but the last team to impress me on the field as much as the Patriots have so far was the Bears in 1985. Obviously not for the same reason, but I simply don’t see how anyone can stop them as things stand today.

If the Pats had this receiving corps last year, no way the Colts beat them in my opinion.

They are well coached, they make very few mental mistakes. They play great as a ‘team’ across the board.

And they have experience dealing with the pressure of a win streak, as they demonstrated in recent seasons with winning over 20 games in a row over the course of two seasons.

Brady, like him or not, is playing at a level few have realized for one game, let alone SIX. Just look at the average margin of victory.

Odds are they will lose a game...but my point is the odds for them losing a game this season are lower than they would be with ANY other team in the NFL today.

We’ll see.

The "Greatest Show on Turf" Rams were pretty unstoppable too.

No denying the Rams had a great team in 99, but they weren’t nearly as diciplined as a team, and they didn’t have as good a defense as the Pats appear to have so far.

The Warner led Rams teams were a ball to watch though.

Rest your starters too much and you get them out of their winning habits. IMHO starters need to play at least the first quarter of every game, just to keep those winning habits.

I'm not talking about sitting players out for whole games....in Pats case, resting older LB's late in 4th Quarter with a big lead late in the season is my goal.

Well, the only ccontender that could possibly threaten New England are

1) San Diego

2) Indy

3) Pittsburgh

4) Baltimore

All which NE will play this year.

At least once.
