Paris Hilton: 'I want to leave a mark on the world'

NEW YORK (AP) -- Meet Paris Hilton, grown-up.

"Before, my life was about having fun, going to parties," says Paris Hilton. She says she's changed.

The 26-year-old socialite has vowed to change her party-girl image after serving a 23-day jail sentence in June for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

"There are a lot of bad people in L.A. Before, my life was about having fun, going to parties -- it was a fantasy," she tells Newsweek magazine in its October 22 issue, now on newsstands. "But when I had time to reflect, I felt empty inside. I want to leave a mark on the world."

>Clinton has both types of Herpes, he’s special that way.....

That seems funny until you realize that one of the types, Herpes zoster, is received when you get CHICKEN POX.

Wait till somebody in your family gets shingles. This is an extemely painful condition, even when caught early. You go into the drug store with the same prescription you would if you were a sexual addict that got Herpes simplex.

A lot of people at the drug store could think that you had H. simplex when you had H. zoster. Especially the pharmacist and certain very judgmental ethnic groups.

I’m going to break ranks with the majority of the posts here and give her the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps she’s seen the light and really wants to change her ways for the better. Stranger things have happened.

Very interesting.

Looks like Paris is about to figure out behavior has consequences even for rich girls.

My first reaction was “skid marks” and then your comments reined in my thoughts.

We have not heard too much about her since she got out of jail and she made have had an epiphany, I only hope the best for her.

She may find that helping others is far more gratifying than being a party girl.

Not alot of love for Paris on this thread. I suppose she is still young enough to turn her life around and become respectable. Time will tell.

That's nice. How about you do it quietly, out of the public eye?

Sounds like the others in the Hilton family were ALSO cut out of the inheritance.

"Paris Hilton is $60 million out of pocket after her billionaire grandfather - appalled by her jail term for drink-driving offences - axed her inheritance."

"He now doesn't want to leave unearned wealth to his family."

"Hilton senior, the only member of the family left with a sizeable stake in the huge hotel chain, has let it be known that he intends to donate to charity the $2.4bn he will gain from this month's sale of the company to private equity firm Blackstone."

$2.4 BILLION are being given up. That includes Paris' $60million. That means a lot more people are also getting cut out.

Frederick Marshall did the same thing when he gave his estate to Anna-Nicole Smith but the family sued anyway.

You got that one slightly wrong.

You don’t have to be talented to become rich and famous...

should read

If you’re rich, you don’t have to be talented to become famous.....

Lots of goobers post nekkid pictures, it doesn’t become notorious unless you are already famous or rich.

Didn’t Paris Hilton say once, when asked to comment on politics, that she already knew she wasn’t the brightest bulb in the chandelier, and therefore declined to publically state an opinion?
