Anna Nicole Smith, Seeking Justice #4
i can see that, also....two at least of their clients inside, hang out and see what happens, yes.
But seidin did ask LB pretty directly if he had made any money (or profited?) and I swear I didn’t hear LB say a word about Splash in Jan...of course, I didn’t stay glued to the testimony and might have missed it but I don’t recall it at all. :)
I think you are right. I don’t think he did..if he mentioned them it was in regard to having his photos used. I don’t remember him mentioning them being there while he put pictures on the grave. Where those photo’s ever published?
Oh I know Sac, lawyers are known as the scum of many jokes for a reason. But, thing is .. this wasn’t a trial.
There is always more than one way to work any case .. or life for that matter. Deceit is not the only way. A suit and shave for court is not deceitful to me. I dress and primp differently for court myself. I don’t wear to church what I wear in the backyard gardening either. There is a defined difference between appropriate clothing and totally false marketing plots.
We are dealing with the lowest of low. There is no ‘rather’ for me. I don’t weigh two evils and find good. I am of the old world where right and wrong have clear lines. I am not naive, I know there are many that sell out, eliminate decency for success or under the guise of ‘work’. But that doesn’t make our world any better from what I have seen in a lifetime.
When it comes to ‘rather’ a father.. whats the diff is how I feel. I see no difference for Dannielynn from either of those two. There are no morals in either one that DL can benefit from. Both are willing to live off DL, she is nothing but property to both of them! She is at risk with either one from what I see, she just doesn’t sleep at Howard’s house is all. She still has two babydaddy’s to use her and exploit her, Larry made sure of that.
In my belief, the truth comes from God. If meant to be, it will come out. He alone can shine light on the dark ones ..in His time.
I know Dana’s aff supports DO .. now .. six months after she held LB’s hand and sang his praises. You are experienced .. lets face it.. if this goes before a jury we both know this long of a delay won’t make her more credible by far. LB’s side will use it against her. They will hammer the delay of coming forward and .. toss her media quotes right in her face where she was supporting LB at a time she had this knowledge and withheld it. You think a woman scorned won’t be pushed to further add doubt? Time will tell but the average Joe Juror buys the scorned woman all too easily imo.
Nice collectin plum!
Would we all like to know when Larry and Howard really first met. I wonder how long phone records are kept? Anyone know?
I bet if they check 2003 .. they will find these two were chatty kathy’s.
Disposable phones? Wonder if Howie took Larry home to meet the folks?
I know BonBon made disgusting statements about Virgie - was she as ruthless in any assaults on Larry’s character?
Acording to Howard, Larry was Papparotzi (sp?). That little circle of camera money makes might know about Howard...and the gay joints. A private detective can probably track that back pretty easily.
He did plum! He said they were his broker.
That is why I was so shocked that day. Not only put a mom through that immediately after viewing her daughters dead body.. let her get ganged up on and tagged teamed .. Milstein then Barth .. but that that whole Splash fiasco was only focused on VA!
Why didn’t JQ or ST jump up and say hey hey.. what difference does it make, LB has Splash connections too. Or what does this have to do with who gets custody of the body this poor woman just had to view?
Seidlin set her up right after viewing the body and had Milstein drill her and her only! And her own legal team sat there and let it go and Seidlin let it go on and on. God, I couldn’t believe it. LB couldn’t even tell the truth about ugly killer hks and Seidlin would stop the show.. but he sets up this mom like that!
But, why why why .. (( I was screaming at the screen that day can you tell ))) didn’t VA’s legal team or VA remind the court Splash was LB’s connection $$$
I think VA’s side was 150% naive! They really bought LB’s act of ‘I am on your side’ and in that .. missed things they normally might have caught.
I also believe JQ and ST left a lot to be desired and did little for VA in FL. If anything they hurt her more than helped her imo.
VA and her team though all went for LB’s con hook line and sinker without question. Never even hesitated to let intuition observe and feel this creep out. That I never expected from Virgie. She was a cop..very intuitive .. why she dropped all that experience and innate skill I don’t know.
I don’t believe LB is that good of an actor. I think they believed blindly, big mistake on their part. But, as I have confessed in the past, I am a cynic.. I trust no one so I probably expect too much from others.
Remember there was some thoughts, some odd reactions and hesitations in court on when LB and VA met? I remember reports of glances from LB’s table even like something had them holding their breath. Perhaps VA’s side was thought they were protecting LB because they thought he was on their side?
WHY didn’t anyone catch LB saying when he went to their house in the Bahamas and Anna was doing drugs, contrary to him saying he didn’t see her again after she left him for the Bahamas is another shocker.
Father Forgive Them for they know not what they do.
LOS ANGELESLarry Birkhead’s ex-lawyer has filed a lawsuit claiming Birkhead attempted to damage her reputation by making defamatory remarks.
Debra Opri’s lawsuit, filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, accuses Birkhead of falsely claiming in a CNN interview with Larry King that she was a source for the book “Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith’s Death.”
The book, written by journalist Rita Cosby, claims Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s 1-year-old daughter, Dannielynn, worked with Howard K. Stern, Smith’s lawyer and companion, to manipulate the media and maximize profits after Smith died.
Opri denies providing information to Cosby. She contends his remarks were “planned and malicious.”
Birkhead’s attorney, Michael Trope, said Tuesday he hadn’t seen the lawsuit, but added that “the truth is a defense.”
“What Larry (Birkhead) said about her on the Larry King show is true,” he said.
The lawsuit claims defamation, fraud and other allegations, and seeks damages, including about $200,000 Opri says she spent to hire a crisis management firm to “salvage” her reputation.
Birkhead and Opri also are locked in a separate court battle over legal bills from the Smith paternity case.
In December, a Los Angeles judge ruled in Birkhead’s favor in the paternity case, and a DNA test later revealed that he was the father of Smith’s daughter.

2003 DERBY NOTE by Larry Birkhead and repeated mentions of Anna!
Celebrities saddle up for Derby fun
By Larry Birkhead, Special for USA TODAY
LOUISVILLE Celebrities arrived ready to party in style for the running of Saturday’s 129th Kentucky Derby. Learjets packed the runways as celebs descended on the city as early as Wednesday to prepare for some fashionable fun.
One highlight was the annual Derby Eve Barnstable-Brown Party thrown by twin sisters Patricia Barnstable-Brown and Priscilla Barnstable. Thousands of screaming fans gathered outside Barnstable-Brown’s mansion to catch a glimpse of the red-carpet arrivals. This year’s celeb lineup proved to be more unpredictable that the big race itself.
Guests included Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock, Bo Derek and beau John Corbett, Maury Povich and wife Connie Chung, Larry King, guitarist Slash, Travis Tritt, ‘N Sync’s Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, and quarterbacks Warren Moon and Troy Aikman. Classical crossover star Josh Groban arrived with his parents, Lindy and Jack Groban. Tara Reid, Carson Daly and Sopranos star Michael Imperioli also attended.
Anna Nicole Smith arrived along with attorney Howard Stern, assistant Kimmie and dog Sugar Pie to film an episode for her E! Television show. Celebs clamored around the buxom blonde as she mingled with party guests and took to the stage to start the party. “This is so much fun; even I didn’t expect this,” Smith said.
The evening’s biggest surprise was a rare public appearance by Janet and La Toya Jackson. Everyone did double takes to figure out which sister was which. La Toya was the one wearing a black Dolce & Gabbana suit and draped in a custom-made Christian Dior diamond necklace and matching diamond and platinum Rolex watch.
“This is so amazing, I’m coming back next year, maybe with (brother) Michael as my date,” La Toya said.
The Jackson sisters chatted in the VIP section. Janet told big sis La Toya how excited she was to be with boyfriend Jermaine Dupri. “I’m so attached,” Janet said as she rushed back to his side. Janet flew in with Dupri’s family, her personal trainer and chef.
Corbett and Derek cuddled to the sounds of music coming from the night’s jam session featuring Kid Rock, Tritt and Taylor Dayne. Anna Nicole blew kisses from the stage.
Groban sang Happy Birthday to his mother while the party’s 1,000 guests joined in to honor her 60th birthday.
The next day on the track, fashion was high and luck was low as most stars had trouble picking Derby winner and longshot Funny Cide.
La Toya Jackson, who consulted with jockey Pat Day, was an exception she bet on the winner. But sister Janet wasn’t so lucky. “I’m not winning. I normally don’t do this, so I am not really sure who to bet,” Janet said.

(partial)
Anna Nicole Smith, a spokeswoman for diet marketer Trim Spa, arrived by bus with her photo painted on its sides, sending fans into hysteria.
Maybe explains why the Barnstable mansion was a better birthday place for DL than the *other* mansion in L’ville where they stayed for Dannielynn’s KY “coming home” visit.
That one belongs to Dana Lynn’s family, too.

YIKES!!!! Trick or Treat the Witch, KE herself
Debra Opri’s bid to collect from Larry Birkhead is still a no go.
The judge who earlier rejected the attorney’s petition to enter arbitration with her ex-client in order to recoup what she says is $620,000 in unpaid legal fees seconded his own motion on Thursday, saying he won’t take new evidence into consideration.
“There are no new facts, circumstances or law,” Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charles C. Lee, who ruled on Sept. 6 that Opri’s contract with Birkhead did not call for binding arbitration, wrote in a two-page opinion. “The declarations provided by [Opri] could have been supplied earlier in a timely fashion, but were not.”
The beleaguered family attorney, who’s been fired more than once this year (by Pamela Bach after she lost custody of her kids to David Hasselhoff and, most recently, by Jermaine Jackson), maintains there was a provision calling for arbitration in her and Birkhead’s retainer agreement.
Opri’s attorney, David B. Owen, said he’ll appeal Lee’s decision.
Opri filed her original complaint on May 29, stating Birkhead still owed her for the six months of workincluding extensive travel and numerous company man hoursshe put in helping him build his paternity case against Anna Nicole Smith.
After Opri went after him, Birkhead responded with a countersuit for fraud and legal malpractice, in which he claimed the L.A.-based attorney racked up an array of frivolous expenses while she was engaged in all that tiresome legal wrangling and then stuck him with the bill.
The two parted ways in March, about a month before DNA tests proved Birkhead was the biological father of Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn.
Birkhead has said Opri offered to represent him pro bono, suggesting the publicity from the case would be all the payment she’d need, and he accused her of hanging onto the better portion of $870,000 he received for media appearances in the aftermath of Smith’s death.
The Kentucky-born photographer petitioned successfully in June (his request was granted in July) to have Opri’s client trust account frozen until the battle over their bill has been settled.
Birkhead’s attorney, Michael L. Trope, said Thursday that the latest ruling paves the way for his client to take Opri to trial and ask for punitive damages, and that he hopes to depose Opri soon.
A status conference was set for Dec. 20.
Opri has already returned the litigious favor, however. She sued Birkhead for fraud and defamation last month, accusing him of “engaging in a malicious and relentless media campaign to discredit me and to destroy my reputation,” after he said in an interview that Opri fed tell-all writer Rita Cosby info for her book about Smith, Blonde Ambition.
The inflammatory tome claims Birkhead and Howard K. Stern were romantically involved and conspired to get control over the late Playmate’s estate.
“It is clear now that Mr. Birkhead’s attempts to discredit me concerned what I knew and what might be exposed publicly...and not a legal bill,” Opri said in a statement. The $200,000 in damages she’s asking for will go toward the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, she added.
Meanwhile, Stern has filed a $60 million defamation suit against Cosby, with all proceeds going toward the National Organization Against Creeping People Out for Profit.
Wow never heard of creeping people out for profit

Seems to me they got that mixed up. As Chief Cook, Bottle-Washer, Dog-Carrier and HouseSquatter of “People Who Creep People Out for Profit,” HKS would NOT be supportive of an organization formed specifically against HIM, lol.
