I was standing on a bar with about 20 other people, with a bottle of champagne in my hand ready to open, when Buckner let the ball go between his legs ,... so I’m not totally relaxed right now.

Its just not right. The BS of charging $75.00 for parking is bad enough.
I really hope when the new park is built it seats fifty thousand: they would fill it. I know so many guys who work their tail off all week long but simply can not afford the luxury of taking their kids to a baseball game. They simply can’t pull $300.00 out of the family budget to do it.

In the late 60s and early 70s, I used to live next to Sparky Lyle. I used to go with his wife to many games then—great parking, and cheap (free) tickets. The infamous trade to the Yanks for Cater ended my free ride to Fenway at the end of 71. I didn’t go again for 35 years.

My grandfather was there with you. The guy had season tickets and went to every game.

Yes, I remember Stan Jonathon. Him, Terry O’Reilly and John Wensink were the last of the Big Bad Bruins.

I went to St. Pete in August to see the Sox with my daughter. Flight was 150.00, tickets 13.00(front row upper deck), free parking and 75.00 for the hotel. I spent less than going to Fenway.

Just spoke to a friend who’s kid is outside Fenway right now, there are about a thousand cops there and they are closing down the streets and not letting people go into the bars...
