Talk about a “cheap hit”!
That’s where Lugo dropped that pop up! “Bermuda Triangle,” indeed!

I did the exact same thing as you. When I was growing up in the 1970s, I'd hop on the Blue Line (in Wonderland) and go to Fenway where I'd get a Bleachers seat for 75 cents. Then if I had an extra dollar, I'd get what was called a "grandstand pass" and I'd be able to go into the grandstand and either stand in the back or find an empty seat. I usually ended up right behind the Red Sox dugout by the 9th inning as many of the businessman left by then to beat traffic.
I was able to afford this with my paper route. Don't think you could get into Fenway on paper route money these days.

Tickets, parking, concessions etc. - Fenway Park is so expensive many people simply dont even try to get tickets.
To: WL-law

Then if I had an extra dollar, I'd get what was called a "grandstand pass" and I'd be able to go into the grandstand and either stand in the back or find an empty seat.I used to buy a regular seat, then go behind home plate with my ticket and a $5 bill in the palm of my hand. Hand the usher my ticket plus the $5, and I was ushered to a seat behind home plate.

Then I would know that Francona has gone completely mad.
