The Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

Counter-clockwise until I glanced down and read the right/left descriptions, then I looked up and it appeared to go clockwise. Now, I can look away and back and see it either way if I concentrate.
Weird.

Nice boobs. LOL, I didn't want to say anything, but I wonder how many saw that first, not how she was spinning.

I’m sorry, what? I was distracted by her boobs. I must be thinking with some other part of my brain.

The program, Flash, or whatever they used was set to change direction. You can’t look at it and force your mind to make it change direction. That's not a Flash (swf or flv) file, it is a simple animated gif. Doesn't change direction, its an old optical illusion.

Counterclockwise at first for me...then clockwise for a long time while I tried to figure out how to make it change.
Now I can make her jig back and forth. ;-)
Very strange.

Ah, then your “johnny7 junior” brain is predominant.

Pretty neat!
I was solidly CW for a while, though I'm pretty sure I'm a left-side person (math degrees, &c.). After a while I became able to make her change directions pretty much at will, but whichever direction I have her going in seems like the only possibility at the moment. Note that when spinning CW it's her right leg that is raised, and when CCW it's the left.

Is she spinning right or left. Nevermind that -- does she talk to you, too?

Very interesting. If I look directly at the figure, she spins counter-clockwise no matter how I stare. If I move my focus an inch or so to either side, the figure immediately changes direction and appears to spin clockwise. Anyone know what that means? I am at least semi-ambidextrous. My grandfather was truly ambidextrous. A handy trait for a surgeon. I have the exact opposite experience - clockwise until I look slightly away. Strange as I'm about as left-brained as they come; maybe I'm getting in touch with my inner artsy guy today??
To: central_va
Until I used the link in post #2 she wasn’t moving at all and I figured I was brain dead, now she is going back and forth not round and round. I am an artist and I should be right brained, does this mean I am a crappy artist?

This is kinda weird! I could see the figure change directions, but as I read down the columns, it sounds like right brained people are living in a fantasy world!! And guess where I was — right brain!!!!

Definitely clockwise at first look, but now I can (with moderate difficulty) switch my perception back and forth.
