Two women, including one who is 6 months pregnant, hurt near Kim and Saratoga.
Two women have been taken to the hospital with injuries following a new hot-air balloon crash around 9 this morning in Rio Rancho, KOB-TV is reporting.
One of the women, who is 37, is six months pregnant, and the other is 27, Eyewitness News 4 reported.
Two others also were hurt when the large balloon they were riding in struck the roof of a home near Kim and Saratoga then traveled on to a second house where they knocked over that home's air-conditioning unit, KOB-TV reported.

***Now youve done it. Folks from all over will be asking what a swamp cooler is.***
It just shows there not from God’s Country! And I wish I was there now!
Yes, when you fall out of the sky you tend to get hurt.
In the only balloon fatality that I personally witnessed, that's how the guy died. However, the cause of the fatality wasn't the impact, but the fact that the top panel on the balloon failed, causing it to deflate while in flight.
But the bottom line is that the raw numbers are meaningless. The relevant statistics would be per passenger mile, or per passenger trip. And you would have to sort out the trips to the mall from other trips for the numbers to be relevant to the claim made in post 7 to me.
Indeed, I wonder. You live in an area where you could replace the cellulose in the pads with ponderosa/pinon pine shavings, if you have one at all.
Answered my own question. Didn’t read far enough.

Geez!
Let’s see 5 injured and one killed in hot air balloons, meanwhile down at the Cottonwood Mall everyone seems to be safe and accounted for.
