It's astonishing to me how many truly awful teams there are in the league right now. Such a wide disparity betwixt a few very good and numerous very bad clubs.

And Carolina beats the Aints, keeping them with a goose egg.

Yep! Even with all the key injuries on our offense, we still have a winning record.

WOW.

And for more game-end heroics, Carolina’s Kasay kicks a 52-yarder to beat the ‘aints 16-13...

Not a good weekend for anyone associated with USC (Leinart and Bush).

So true...

The hopes for tomorrow’s MNF game b/w Buffalo & Dallas:
- A competitive contest (for awhile anyway)
- The right numbers come up
- The local fools don’t embarrass us on national TV.

Michael Pittman may have a broken leg or knee injury...whatever it is, it’s very series; carted off the field a few minutes ago. Last week the Caddy, now his backup.

Pittman-Broken leg/knee injury turns out to be a sprained ankle. Damn radio play-by-play drama queens led me astray.

The Broncos suck. Cutler is not ready for prime time. Down 27-3 to the Chargers. Denver has been a really solid team for so many years, I am surprised at how truly awful they are this year.

Colts up 30-7 over TB, so much for an upset in that one....

Even I bailed on the games today... catching up on my tivo'd History and Science Channel programs. Of course, any wkend not featuring a Cowboys game has high potential for football failure. I'm sure you'd agree. :)

But seriesly folks, hope the Pack-Bears have something good in store tonight. Back to the Vikings' burning and pillaging...

Time for the Sunday Night Football DRINKING GAME!!!

Tonight's game features the Green Bay Packers hosting the Chicago Bears. We all know about Brett Favre, and how he is he Second Coming of Jesus Christ in a football helmet, and we all know this game was featured because the NBC brass thought this would be a game where Favre breaks Marino's record, and we all know the deck will be stacked against the Bears, so I decided to organize a Brett Favre drinking game. The points are as follows:

ONE drink Every FIVE times Al Michaels mentions Favre.
ONE drink every TWO times Madden mentions Favre.
TWO drinks for mentions of his age.
FIVE drinks for phrases like "ageless wonder", "He's having, uh more , uh, fun out there" , "He's playing like he did 16 years ago", etc.

If anyone is alive by the half, you win.

Here’s hoping the referees get the game right this time.

They got it right last time. You want them to "get the game" your way.
