From this view, it might not seem to rival Niagara:
But from this vantage point, it's fairly impressive.

According to the accompanying texts, this is in the Tamil Nadu province somewhat near Bangalore. Quick map searching discovered that it's on the western boundary of the province about due south of Bangalore.

Deccan basalts?Could be. I'm not sure how far they extend, but they are one of the main causes of terrain relief in southern India.

Been there, done exactly that. What’s extra special is all around the place you have people offering oil massages for under a $ for half an hour. You get eucalyptus oil rubbed on and stand like those guys are under the falls and man!!! that really feels awesome.
