Check out The Replacements, starring Keanu Reeves.I remember that hilarious scene when the cheerleaders were very "friendly."

An overreaction, IMHO. I should think a few spankings ought to take care of the situation.

‘Yes, the NFL is a private entity, but the level of control they are trying to extend over the teams is pretty oppressive. Football is supposed to be entertainment, but the NFL league offices are doing everything they can to crush any type of individuality out of teams and players, and it’s just sad.’
Riiiight, thats why we get Ocho Cinco commercials every fifteen minutes on the NFL Network broadcasts....because they are crushing ‘any type of individuality out of teams and players....’
Riiiight....

Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders are always slected for their brains, dancing skills, charm and
boobies!I attended obtained my MBA from SMU in 1978. One of my classmates earned her undergraduate and graduate degree while a member of the Dallas cheerleaders. She was Dean's list with a 3.8 GPA. We worked together as grad assistants in the Computer Lab!
Wowser!

What they are doing in that instance is pimping their own property. Ocho Cinco merchandise sells big.

Golly! Where are all those naughty cheerleader gonna go?
I know! My house!
My home is the World Headquarters of the NLU. The NLU (Nat'l League of Uglybikers) is much more open-minded on such matters and would never even think of enacting such draconian measures!

No, we just trot Brunhilda out on the field during warmups and scare the crap out of the opposition.

No end zone dances, no cheerleaders.
Is it too late for Vince to bring back the XFL?

We do, but the Steelers used to have cheerleaders. They were called the “Steelerettes” and were students from a local college. According to legend, they were disbanded after a pyrimad they were making (this was old school chearleading) collapsed and Rooney Sr. was afraid they were going to hurt themselves.
Very different from the cheerleading we are discussing on this thread (not that there is anything wrong with the modern version).

I wish that was this year’s starting center, she is bigger than Mahan and would do a better job on the NT.
(in fairness, Mahan actually is playing pretty well).
