She has vowed to give back all teh money she has received for her lousy movies and get a $5.65/hour job at Barnes and Nobles pushing Bill Clinton’s new book.

She needs too. Too many young stars end up dead and she is headed down that all too familiar path. Perhaps in a couple years she will have her head on straight.

Riiiiight. Hollywood (stardom) is a harder drug to quit than heroin. One who successfully walked away from it that immediately comes to mind was Jan Smithers (aka Bailey Quarters of WKRP).

Wonder how much she’ll get paid by someone on Craigslist to also hide the copies of Laura Ingraham’s new book.

If she’s serious about this, it will be the first intelligent move she’s made in a while.

Being married to James Brolin would make me question the value of showbiz too.

I think they are divorced now (but I may be wrong). Last I knew she worked at a college in Vancouver teaching Art. I’d also heard she was considering a return to Hollywood, but whether she tried or not I dunno.

I wish her well. Lots of people have “quit” Hollywood and gone on to very successful lives.

Donna Dixon (Bosom Buddies, Wayne’s World) quit Hollywood after getting married to Dan Ackroyd in 1983. She just wanted to be a Mom and Wife and leave acting behind.
She has been in about 10 movies (bit parts mostly) since 1983, and just a handful of TV movies or episodes.
I hope Lindsey can leave the lifestyle, get stable and return in a few years with control of her own life and behavior.

I thought that was “Ellie May Clampett”...

Donna Douglas played “Elly May”

Or did Hollywood quit her first? That's exactly the situation. No movie that hired her could get a completion bond from the insurance companies. That's the kiss of death.
She needs to do a Winona Ryder and drop out sight for a few years. If she keeps her nose clean* and stays out of the papers, then comes back with some small projects to prove herself, she could come out of this alright.
*no pun intended, but happily accepted
